I think he was saying that he may let one of his male plants produce pollen as a backup if the CS doesn't work. Spraying a male with CS will not produce feminized pollen.Never tried this on a male before. I know it was supposed to work in 2 weeks, I'm still puzzled, just really wanted the pollen so I refused to give up. I figured if the silver didn't make her hermie, old age would, or it would die on the vine trying.
How does one "burn" silver? Iv heated silver to over 900°C and it liquefied, with a nominal amount becoming silver oxide. The fumes CS gives off when burned is toxic. I wouldn't even risk using buds that got overspray on them.
Yea, you are right. I heated a silver coin with my lighter and it didn't burn or give off fumes. I ate the coin afterwords and I don't feel sick. How does one "burn" silver? Iv heated silver to over 900°C and it liquefied, with a nominal amount becoming silver oxide.
Do you think your lighter can do better?
And silver is non toxic unless you're talking about one of its salts, which collidial silver is not.
I got a bottle of 30ppm. Which I have read is sufficient to do this. I was planning to do 1 application a day, but now that you mention dual treatments, I might do that.
I got 10 plants growing now, so I should have plenty to smoke. What I was trying to say is I will apply the CS to one branch of only 4 or 5 of my plants. (the best looking ones)

they are silver surfer, only 1 month old all from seed.
I have been painting for a week and a half now on 4 of my plants. They are not showing sex yet.. but I would like to post that I have noticed the branch that I have been painting the CS on is not growing as fast as the rest of the plant. This is happening on all the plants I am painting, and the one branch that I have selected, (which was the same length of the opposite node branch) is quite noticeably smaller than the branches not being treated.
Just posting this unique observation. (I wish the journals were up.. lol)
