Coconut coir should I ?

The cost of nutes or quality of store bought potting soil has no bearing on this discussion. You said coco is superior to soil in virtually every way. Coco is inert. Soil is alive. Both can grow great smoke, neither is "superior".

I didn't claim anything was superior. There's a lot more to a successful grow than medium choice, clearly they can all grow great bud. I didn't say anything about ammendments, nor did I mention super soil. I'll get a shovel, go out in the woods in my back yard, and dig up a pot full of soil. Yall can climb a palm tree and shave some coconut husks.

Would pictures help?
Again reductionist drivel. Yes coco is inert. Fatuous beyond words to bring that up as a counter-argument.

Growth rates, yield and significantly reduced chances of overwatering are massive factors. The fact that you need $10 of salts really isnt.

I remember watching this like a year ago

saw that a while back, don't recall watering method used but I believe that would play a big factor for the soil and coco. the dwc system he has is designed to be optimize with no thought required. Might re-watch just to recall how he watered the coco and soil.

I would imagine other things could be optomized for the soil (the soil itself most likely included), and coco setups as well, where with the dwc, no thought required

most important, which would you prefer to consume. for me, organic soil. pretty sure he does taste test at end and says the same

so coco had almost twice the yield of dirt, almost 4 times the yield of rdwc...6:55 in
soil had a little better taste, at 10:30 in...
so i feel like i was right, soil will give you a slightly better brix count, a sweeter taste, a little better terpene profile, but coco comes close, and blows soil out of the water for yield...

I doubt his soil or coco was optimized, the roots for both looked pretty weak

Edit looked at video where he is mixing the soil and he ph the soil in a poor manner (imo) and before he adds stuff to it lol.

also states ~'not experienced growing this pepper' seems odd (at best), to grow soemthing that you don't have experience growing with, for and experiment

edit, week 3 update shows leaves dying in the soil grow lol... actually worthless videos for comparison of end results

Hello community I’m doing soil right now but I’m thinking of going with coconut coir for my next grow. If anybody has any tips or ideas on nutrient feeding with coconut coir Or anything that has to do with coconut coir I’ll be happy to take in !?!
yes do it for a little while then you will have a bunch more knowledge about growing. I started in coco then transitioned to soil (dont even remember why if im honest) but im very happy i started in coco cuz of the learning curve for nutes, watering, etc. it's a wonderful introduction to "dont mess this up".

Every soil grow I’ve had came with a shit ton of bugs and a shit ton of mites….. i’ve ran into the spider mites, russet mites, broad mites, thrips, springtails…..you name it……. I tried roots organic, happy frog, ocean forest… etc.… he’s soil companies have giant mounds of soil literally outside on either a asphalt or be regular ground when it comes time to fill an order a loader comes and takes a bigger scoop and puts it in a processing machine well the problem with having a shit outside for years at a time while it cooks is bugs get in there they might not get to the center of it because the piles are so big but if you get a bag from the outside layer you’re getting an infestation…..coco no matter if you get the cheapo kind or the Bougie kind is subject to extreme conditions basically rendering it completely sterile……. Just don’t leave a bag of it unattended or cat will jump in there and piss and shit that you will find at a later point in time when it comes time to start next round……
