The post is titled "Coconut Coir should I" , not "Tell me about coco", or "New to Coco, help me out". Seems to me like he's asking if he should switch from soil to coco. How does bringing up positives about soil make one a "soil jerkoff"?
Does growing with coco make your skin thin or your feelings extra sensitive? Why is everyone on here more worried about being a good grower than being a good person? We are overflowing with assholes here, leave your personal problems at the door bongsmilie
To the op, stick with soil, and get some sips. Excellent growth, perfect watering, none of the hassle of hydro :blsmoke:
the best way to convince someone is to tell them your good experiences with that product...and we're weed heads on a weed site talking about weed...you expect any of us to stay laser focused?

Coco is superior to soil in virtually every way.

Coco is superior to soil in virtually every way.
you can get a higher brix count in soil...but i honestly don't know if that effects potency or not. it can provide a fuller terpene profile, but at the cost of both yield and time...not worth it to me, and that is the ONLY advantage i'm aware of....

You fill a pot with coco, and I'll fill one with soil. Let's see who gets further with just water bongsmilie
and that proves superiority how? you make up some super soil, adding all kinds of amendments to it, then try to say it's a water only grow....bullshit, it's water plus all the shit you amended the soil with, AND you'll have to top dress at least a few times through the grow...
i like the control of adding what i want, when i want

Organic food vs non organic food, which is better?

Logic says the same goes for weed.

need bigger harvest, veg longer or more plants. I personally don’t care about quantity nearly as much as quality.

higher brix also means higher resistance to bugs and other environmental conditions

currently growing organic, adding only water for whole grow to store bought soil which I added alfalfa pellets to feed medium throughout. So far so good and one is ~ month from harvest.

why better terp profile with organic? Because something is getting messed up otherwise

would you use salts in your vegetable garden? I would not

you don’t even need to buy anything to grow soil, go outside and everything is there

The post above is dumb on so many levels.

What a ridiculous, reductionist argument. Nutes cost pennies. And store-bought potting mix is usually trash.
The cost of nutes or quality of store bought potting soil has no bearing on this discussion. You said coco is superior to soil in virtually every way. Coco is inert. Soil is alive. Both can grow great smoke, neither is "superior".

and that proves superiority how? you make up some super soil, adding all kinds of amendments to it, then try to say it's a water only grow....bullshit, it's water plus all the shit you amended the soil with, AND you'll have to top dress at least a few times through the grow...

I didn't claim anything was superior. There's a lot more to a successful grow than medium choice, clearly they can all grow great bud. I didn't say anything about ammendments, nor did I mention super soil. I'll get a shovel, go out in the woods in my back yard, and dig up a pot full of soil. Yall can climb a palm tree and shave some coconut husks.

WTF does that even mean?
Would pictures help?
