Investing in clean green energy can be tricky, especially battery technology, Lithium Sulphur batteries could blow solid state out of the water, or the technologies could be combined, plus there are many other electrochemistry's and approaches being developed. Geothermal power using new drilling technology could also blow wind and solar away, if current experiments work out. Things are in a state of flux and new very promising technologies are emerging and many will find their niche in the future. One thing is for certain, most cars, trucks and trains will be electric and so will much small scale private aviation. The power grid will be much more robust with backup and peeking done with batteries, it will also power trucks charging batteries on the roads using pantographs and your car topping up at home.
In American EV sales were 4%, in 2021, however in Norway they will soon be 80%. As battery capacity increases, charging times and costs will decrease and if you have 2 cars in the family, one will soon probably be electric. All the major car companies have plans the cease ICE car production or reduce it a lot, so you will have trouble finding a new one in 10 years and the choices will decrease by about 5 years in NA, Europe will have much higher and complete uptake of EVs, considering the cost of gas there and the distances involved.
