I'll try that sometime, and see what happens. Do you do that in hydro as well as soil? I guess trying different things is the only way to find out what works. In the past I haven't been terribly adventures lol.
Did you get your Enzymes Komplete yet?
I see; if I have roots hanging below the main root ball I'll probably trim them off.I did a multiple reveg with a DWC tub many years ago and would cut the roots back to an inch under the net pots each time and they grew back real quick. Otherwise I didn't cut any hydro roots but would have no qualms doing so.

Good to here,I use to do bubble clones and added it there also.I didnt stick to a schedule just used it here and there.Once you bump it up a little getting foam to come out the top of your net pots will help kill anything in there.Enzymes Komplete arrived and added .5 ml/L. A fair amount of foaming in the pots, but not overwhelming and just a bit in the res. I'm thinking that might be because the res is almost 4' square so there is a lot of surface area.

Hmmm, well I always had a feeder line under the lid and into the net pot.You forsure could just scoop some from the res and pour it through.
I had also phoned the rep, cool dude was very helpful.
I always just soaked the clay balls in bleach along with air stones but I didn't use much, net pots were 5".Always was a pain dealing with them.Yes, he was. Sounded very knowledgeable, and quiet a talker to, lol. From what he said I don't think Enzymes Komplete weakens between adding to the res. I've reduced the H2O2 to the recommended amount(1.5ml/L of 29% H2O2), so I'm hoping that Enzymes Komplete can do what he says. Even with the high peroxide(6ml of 29% H2O2/L) there was one plant that still had quiet a bit of root rot although looking at the plant you would never know it. The plant itself looks healthy. There is a lot less foam in that pot. I'm guessing it's because of the extra root rot that plant has. The rep said I could notice a difference in as little as a week. I guess I'll watch and keep my fingers crossed.
In another couple days I have to wash and soak more hydroten. I was thinking after the wash that I would soak it in water with Enzymes Komplete or Five Star Star San Sanitizer. Not sure which one would be better. There really shouldn't be anything much to kill in them anyway. Your thoughts...

If you’re going to do the starsan soak I’d do it before the enzymes. And I would do something, that or pressure cook. The hydroton has many holes for the pathogens to set up camp.
Rinse well then do the enzyme treatment. I think the starsan is around 2 ph.
I recently used some starsan treated hydroton in the bottom of. 1L pot an inch or so treated and not rinsed, coco on top. Figured by the time to roots reached the hydroton it should be rinsed. Clear pot. Yep roots look normal.
I’ve soaked for a long time, like weeks. No idea if it matters but no I’ll effects. It is no rinse for making beer or wine or drinking but the ph is verry low. Plants may not like it. So I’d rinse a bit before your enzymes. The low PH may be hard on them not sure.Forgot to mention Turpman. It says that Star San is a no rinse sterilizer and in reading the information again it says that it only needs a 2 minute contact, but with what I am using it for I would leave it longer than that. What do you think?
