check out this kief box I made!

Shit I'd be up for one! What's the size of it and which micron screen did you use?
How much for one with 2 screens?

from my brief experience with kief boxes I would say the enclose glass bottom is the way to go. I quickly realized you want to keep the box as air tight as possible cause that kief sure likes to fly around when you get a good amount down there. a glass tray would introduce a open vent directly to the kief and it would no doubt get dust and hair on it.

Awesome. Thank you ever so much for the advice. I would totally buy one of yours!

seems there is a fair amount of interest in this box which is good to go. I'll post up a DIY soon. I'll try to mass produce some and see how they come out and how long it takes and come up with a price. thanks for the support guys, very kind.

This makes me very happy.:bigjoint:

Very nice box, very nice. Years from now your grandchildren will be displaying pa-pa's antique Kief box on the coffee table......ah, memories..........

I wasn't about to pay $220 for a decent size kief box I could sift my trimmings with so I made one, here's what came out:

The top and base are made from a composite hardwood luan 1/4" the rest of the box was made out of spare base molding I had lying around the garage and some door stop trim. the screen is bridal viel material found at jo ann fabrics or michaels or anywhere that sells fabric. you can even get the ultra clearance rack for $.99/yd. with some rediculous pattern on it but it wont matter since you can cut the screen size you need and ditch the pink polka dot print on the other half of it. I rubbed a 1/4 pound of trimmings through it and got 13.3g of kief. I don't know if this is good or not since this is the first time I've made kief in any decent quantity but it sure is fun scooping out mounds of kief to put on top of bowls :) I highly recommend building one. You need a mitre saw or really strong arms and a mitre box. Wood glue. Painter's tape to tape all the corners after you glue them. super glue with spray on instant set. if there is any interest I'll make another one and give you guys a step by step on it.

I am always interested in a step by step and I always junk lying about that I would rather turn into some usable applications...and I think it will be that much cooler if the fabric was polka dotted...I love bright patterns...I gots baby eyes...lol...not really...

Did you know that your eyes are the only part of your body that doesn't ever grow?---it is why all babies look kinda like aliens with big googley eyes...it isn't that their eyes are big...their little tiny faces are just too small...lol

Can't make bubble from kief or dry ice concentrate, since bubbling relies on size-screening. cn

You could turn it into ISO...but why? I mean jeez just think of it as cannabis salt...lol but for bowls of cannabis....for all your cannabits? what? I don't know...

You didn't even read the original post...
I don't get this...
I sometimes skip the replies, but never the question I am answering, or topic being discussed...

I did it all the time I'd throw it in the portable washer with a little trim then screen it always got bomb hash and with bho I'd throw it in the middle between bud in a turkey baster

sorry for not posting a DIY on this yet guys, been extremely busy maintaining my grow as of late, not to mention it has been balmy on this side of the world for the past week or so. I swear I will get one up as soon as I get everything in my grow locked down (brand new equipment, rooms, setup, headaches, ect.)

can you use a wooden cigar box with a screen of some some, what do you mean by rubbing, does'nt rubbing put more plant material into the kief, if you aggitate to much I noticed it goes from fluffy blonde to greenish tint not as fluffy, do to more plant material in the kief

Nice craftsmanship presented....I'd buy one, no doubt.

Imagine that...a stoner who isn't sitting around eating pork rings with ding dongs and ending every sentence with dude while degenerating society with his ilk. Guess the ads {government} were lying to me...for shame.

Real nice how you finished it and even mitered the corners!
You think about selling to your smoking buddies?

Two cigar boxes stacked with a screen in between, put a little more thought into it it'll work. Maybe I'll whip one up lol. I gotta check out this bridal veil material, the screening is always my concern...

I was thinking silk screen but when I went too the local Hobby Town they don't care it, they suggested a print shop, because they can make custom silk screens for t-shirts, logo's,flyers, letter heads, whatever, but I don't know if they would sell you, let's say a 1 foot square piece thats big enough wrap around a frame to fit a cigar box or jewler box and then some, I was also thinking of paint strainer screens for like laquers and clear coats but not sure if that will work, it might be to fine, next Time I go by Home Depot I'll look and see what they got
