sweet kief box man! id like to see a step by step for sure.
from my brief experience with kief boxes I would say the enclose glass bottom is the way to go. I quickly realized you want to keep the box as air tight as possible cause that kief sure likes to fly around when you get a good amount down there. a glass tray would introduce a open vent directly to the kief and it would no doubt get dust and hair on it.
seems there is a fair amount of interest in this box which is good to go. I'll post up a DIY soon. I'll try to mass produce some and see how they come out and how long it takes and come up with a price. thanks for the support guys, very kind.
I wasn't about to pay $220 for a decent size kief box I could sift my trimmings with so I made one, here's what came out:

The top and base are made from a composite hardwood luan 1/4" the rest of the box was made out of spare base molding I had lying around the garage and some door stop trim. the screen is bridal viel material found at jo ann fabrics or michaels or anywhere that sells fabric. you can even get the ultra clearance rack for $.99/yd. with some rediculous pattern on it but it wont matter since you can cut the screen size you need and ditch the pink polka dot print on the other half of it. I rubbed a 1/4 pound of trimmings through it and got 13.3g of kief. I don't know if this is good or not since this is the first time I've made kief in any decent quantity but it sure is fun scooping out mounds of kief to put on top of bowlsI highly recommend building one. You need a mitre saw or really strong arms and a mitre box. Wood glue. Painter's tape to tape all the corners after you glue them. super glue with spray on instant set. if there is any interest I'll make another one and give you guys a step by step on it.
Can't make bubble from kief or dry ice concentrate, since bubbling relies on size-screening. cn
Shit I'd be up for one! What's the size of it and which micron screen did you use?
How much for one with 2 screens?
I did it all the time I'd throw it in the portable washer with a little trim then screen it always got bomb hash and with bho I'd throw it in the middle between bud in a turkey basterCan't make bubble from kief or dry ice concentrate, since bubbling relies on size-screening. cn
Real nice how you finished it and even mitered the corners!I wasn't about to pay $220 for a decent size kief box I could sift my trimmings with so I made one, here's what came out:

can you use a wooden cigar box with a screen of some some, what do you mean by rubbing, does'nt rubbing put more plant material into the kief, if you aggitate to much I noticed it goes from fluffy blonde to greenish tint not as fluffy, do to more plant material in the kief
