CFL help

ok i have four 23 watt 2700 k CFL's and was wondering if i could use these to veg.

There are people that use HPS all the way through so I don't see why not.

People say to use 6500k to veg and 2700k to flower so i was wondering if my plants will be able to grow with the 2700k.

not worth it.... spend the extra money and get the 6500K CFLs, or T5 tubes. They're really not that expensive and it will be worth it in the end

They'll be able to grow, but they'll be receiving a lot less usable light then they would be getting from the 6500K range... Spend another $10-$15 and get a pack of 6500K from Home Depot.

I agree that you should buy the extra bulbs, but it is definitely possible to just use 2700's. What happens when you just use light that contains more of the red spectrum is more spacing between nodes. I would get the 6500's and put them all in there.

the 6500k daylight cfl's are the best for veg, but i would go with 6-8 26watt cfl's
more the better. i'm going to change my veg room to a t5 H.O and a few cfl's.

I used cfl's for a while, then went to t-5's. Now I use the t-5's for the first 3 weeks and then put them in another room where I'm running 2 400 watt hps.

Why don't you veg with the t5 and cfl's 8 weeks an then flower with the 2 400's?
you should get the same size but less on bills.
