I could roll-up the plastic sides for more ventilation last year.

This year I won't need to, the mesh lets air thru.

Love your greenhouse! I would love to copy yours. Can you give us info on where/what to buy to make one? I've seen the carports at Menards, but where do you get the mesh and plastic?

Today I mixed my very 1rst batch of Ocean Forest soil / Mix. Your plants are very nice and that green is amazing! I'm excited to see what this new soil mix will do for me,
Transplanted today.
Hey Just a heads up. Last year I grew outdoor and built a small enclosure for 2 of my GDPs. Coverd with mosquito netting. The netting was about 4 " above the ground. Those freekin Moths
would hug the ground and sneek on in under the netting. Watch out my friend, Maybe Close off the lower portion of your walls. Just a helping jesture from me.
We all Hate those freekin Caterpilars!!!!!!!!!!!

doublejj,

Great grow.. amazing size on those girls.. I finally got my Costco Greenhouse (maybe they should start a sub forum..lol).. I have one end and side in shade cloth and the top in plastic but am seeing temperatures 90 - 100... The girls don't seem to be struggling (I did put a cheap Lowes mister in) but I'm curious what temperatures you see during the hotter days?

Hey TMB thanks for stopping by. I'll be in touch this fall, and we can talk about 'tree trimming'! lol! Your "Weed Cage" is looking great this year, your gonna have to use the top like a SCROG! lol!

Didn't do anything magic, these plants are 6 months old. They were started indoors last Jan. They've only been in the greenhouse for 2.5 months.

I should buy stock in Costco! lol! I'd be careful with the mister, it will raise humidity & encourage molds & fungus. If your worried about temps, add a fan, to get more air movement. I saw 120 temps last year in the greenhouse, & as long as they got lots of water, they did fine. It made me add mesh to all sides this year though!

Peace

P.S. I'll post some more video soon.

sorry to keep bothering ya bout the mesh JJ, but do you know if the mesh blocks a substantial amount of sunlight?(I know you have plastic on top, but im thinking about building one entirely made of mesh)....if I built one covered completely with the same mesh, do you think it would hinder my plants growth or block a lot of sunlight? im so nervous about these budworms, last year was like...a tramatic experience lol

No problem ZZZ, any time. You can still get rains in so cal before harvest, the plastic keeps any rain off. But the sunscreen would work great also, you could throw a tarp over it if it rained. I had considered it at one time.

I cover my back deck with sunscreen every summer. I've grown there before, & it worked great! But now I have the greenhouse so I have my deck back!

Haha thanks for the reassurance JJ! yeah im definitely gonna build a greenhouse with mesh over the entire thing now...and I dont have to worry about rains, last year I covered my plants near harvest cuz it rained, but in my climate.. it worked against me, what happened was it rained, but then got super hot the next day and created a super warm and humid enviroment and i lost some colas due to mold...I actually can just let my plants in full flower get rained on and they dry out super fast the next morning...anyways thanks bro you been a great help with this whole budworm dilemma
