I meant to do mine like yours dumpster but I tend to forget things when I'm stoned and I may have missed twine on my list. I tried thread when I realized I have everything but twine but that I found out, doesn't quite do it. I was trying to figure out what I could do tonight that didn't require another trip to the store. Hangers and wire cutters were available lol.

btw dumpsterkeeper I finally figured out where you got those cool looking bulbs in your avatar when I turned off the lights for the first time this morning :)
Hehe, they're just regular lights with some photoshop magic

Do you really need to PIN the plant down to the earth when you LST? I thought you just needed to bend it over... not pin it down..... i'm thinking your torture is a bit intense ;)

It would be more better to tie/pin her down that way you know the technique is working.Thats my 2 cents.

People sometimes get better results with a stronger anchor. As long as you don't actually break the branch it should be ok

You should try using pipe cleaners to hold your plant in place. Just hook them under the pot rim and bend over the plant stem ... snip off any surplus with a pair of sissors and all is neat and tidy.

The fluffy stuff on the pipe cleaner is also gentle on the delicate new stems.

G.O.D.
This is what I use, and is by far the best thing I've ever use to tie my plants down with.

EXACTLY. And even if you do break it, if it's not totally broken off, it'll heal... And if it is totally broken off, CLONE it... It's just better NOT to break it. lol. But I pin that shit down sometimes, and then sometimes just slightly bend it. It's like a work of art, you bend however you need to, to get the plant to do what you want it to do and be in the shape you want it to be in.

Even if the branch does pop, you essentially just supercropped instead, which is still good. More like a happy accident at that point

Sorry, it's been a few days.

I learned to never go cheap on a timer... mine flaked out after 2 days of 12/12 so I just put them back under 24 hr light until I got a new timer. I should resume 12/12 at 6am tomorrow.

Coat hangers ended up not being able to stay in the dirt, the plants pull themselves up. I will buy a roll of twine tomorrow and quit screwing around.

Thanks for watching. :joint:

lol, and coulda told you that one. lol, that's why I started tieing screws into the side of my pot and using pipe cleaner. Twine will work just fine tho.

Good lookin plants and LST bro. Keep it up

Looks killa! I seen that you posted on my grow thanks for checking it out. I have checked out a little of your grow and I want to try the LST method also. I'll check out the rest of your grow later, time for dinner.

Todays pics. Let me know if you have any input.

Should I continue to tie down branches as they shoot up or should I just keep them the way they are and let them do their own thing from this point?
