Not sure as to what the bill has went up since using the cfl's. The area has 26&23's because its soo small. If i would have loaded it up with 42's i would have ended up with a heat problem with the limited space i designated for this flower :( .

Ya there is quite a bit of light being wasted from the tops. But once the area's doors are closed light is pretty dense. All the area's surfaces are flat white so there is a lot of bounce back from the top. But you are right, lots of lost light.

The below pic is also from Flowering Day 22. With 1/2 the area's doors closed. The edge you can see on the left is the closed door. The lights are really close to the door so you can see how close things actually are in the area. (also when the doors are closed i get about 2" of light penetration into the canopy so thats a bonus :p )

Well i am starting to wonder what kind of genetics this strain holds. Today the last of the clones started to flower (these clones took 30+ days of 12/12 to start to flower :/ ) also a clone was removed that was literally still 1 - 1 1/2" tall and still hadn't started to flower.

This strain seems quite finicky on starting to flower, some plants have been flowering 22 days some 1 day some 10 etc. All clones were introduced to the area & 12/12 at pretty much the same time so..

Also cloning this strain takes 20 days or so to root if cloned in rockwool or dirt. Bubblers only around 10 days. But still seems to be a bit harder to clone than most other strains.

So far the downfalls have been just the time taken to root clones & actual time the plant starts to flower after 12/12 is initiated.

The strain is very nute friendly & does not require very much light at all during veg for great growth. This strain can be taken to the edge of death and brought back to life quite easily so it is quite resilient.

Below is an image of just how little of an amount of light is needed to veg this strain. The area is about 3'sq and there are 4 mother plants & 1 large tub full of clones. Originally the mothers had 10x 26w 5300k cfl's but was reduced to what you see in the area.

I def wouldn't recommend this strain to someone just starting out unless they don't plan on cloning etc.

The strain appears to have great potential but the lack of stable flowering times & difficulty of rooting clones is slowly turning me off to it in the long run. Only time & harvest day will tell if this strain is worth continuing or if it should be seeded and packed away for some grow further down the road.

Ok i am holding back as much as I can from pulling these out of the tiny cfl micro grow area and putting them under a 1k.

Growth is great but it seems as soon as i think all the tops are on the surface a good 20x new shoots pop through the canopy to make an appearance :p

lol thanks you guys :p

Ya it started as a sog but due to the lack of flowering time stability it quickly turned semi scrog.

Wanted a sog for the test grow but oh well :p I'll replace all the house lights after this and do a sog under a 1k :)

Ok funny story, i was out going to the store and what do I see on the side of the road? A grow box :p lol, it was in 2 peices (left side and right side). It had a raised floor of about 12" and was probably 4' 6" or so tall probably 3' sq. I didn't nab it since it really was a piece of crap but I did nab the 8 5 gallon grow buckets :p lol. There was no lights though :p
