Still gas? I'm thinking of getting an induction hotplate to fool around with before we remodel our kitchen.I have a Samsung stove and absolutely love it! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I've enjoyed mine
We got a Samsung stove in 2020 as it was the cheapest stove they still had in the store in the middle of all hell breaking lose. Gotta say except for the incessant singing celebration any time it finishes a simple task like preheating, or finishing the timer, or finishing cleaning itself; I rather like the rest the features. It's something with Samsung, the washer and dryer we got also are exuberantly musical in completing their tasks. So my youngest son got me a new stove Samsung from Best Buy it should be here Thursday I am so stoked about this
Probably for the best. I carefully took almost 10 years to gently introduce my mother to cannabis. She won't smoke or injest but she fell in love with the trans-dermal dosing and the Weed+Wonder Balm product that dispensaries cooked up. Now any time she encounters someone over 35 who says 'ouch I'm sore' or some variation there of, as long as they can swing her a discount she goes full Jon Stewart and asks, "Have to tried your pain, on weeeeeed, cream?"I'm 34 and my mom has no idea I smoke weed or have a garden.
I want gas. Better than a camp stove if the power goes out.Still gas? I'm thinking of getting an induction hotplate to fool around with before we remodel our kitchen.
I'm covered for gas. Wok burner, griddle and grill. But if I want to boil water or cook soup, what do I use? Maybe the griddle would do it. We are creeping up on a kitchen reno so might be cooking outside for a whole summer in 2026. An efficient hotplate might do the trick.I want gas. Better than a camp stove if the power goes out.
God's country! I used to live in Yreka, just a hop skip and a jump from there.Spent the morning in Truckee, now doin a loop around Tahoe

My mom knew that we all smoked weed, she didn't seem to mind. She said the only reason she wouldn't ingest it was because it was illegal. During the time I was caring for her (Alzheimer's was progressing rapidly) I decided to trick her by putting weed in one of her prescription bottles. I read that cannabis is an effective ACHE inhibitor, and wanted to see if it may help slow the progression, or at least ease her symptoms. I remember the first time we got high - she admitted many things I never knew, including that she used to get lit with her ballerina pals back in NYC. She seemed more lucid after our sessions, and I've never seen her eat quite so enthusiastically. Once we placed her in a nursing home years later, she still wanted to smoke, but this is before it was legal in Illinois. She often asked the staff for weed, they found it pretty amusing...Probably for the best. I carefully took almost 10 years to gently introduce my mother to cannabis. Then she calls me to mule her weed-balm over southern state lines when she runs out. So far auto-insurance, physical therapy, and a nail salon all take weed cream for about a 30% discount over what she was getting.
Me at the holidays these days thinking of her interrogations in the 90's about how and where I got my audio equipment as she tells me about her clandestine weed discounts 30 years later.
