Best way to germinate seeds!!

My first 6 seeds I put in distilled water in solo cup in a cabinet till root came out!! All perfect, last 2 I did 1 one root separated and other nothing!! Should I just put in paper towel and keep damp in window sill or In the dark??

The way I get mine started; Moist Paper towel.1 layer over top so it is transparent and can view the emerging root.
Place in snap lock bag and seal. I blow a little air in so it tents. Then straight on heat mat in the tent for 48 hours or so until I see the shoots appear. Have had near perfect strike rate with this method. Only seeds that were hard to start were super old seeds that needed a scuffing.

are you going to be useing soil or hydro?

I’ve been using something called the ronin method. You should be able to google it. So far I am at 100% germination, granted less than 10 tries. Basically uses a rapid rooter, soak it with water squeeze it out and put the seed in. Then put the rooter in a Tupperware container with a lid and put it on top of a router and cover it. The router generates heat and makes it function like a grow mat. There were a couple other details in there so I would find the link, but it’s worked perfectly for me so far and others swear by it. This was hydro though.

ok so I have been a paper towel guy forever.... but I am switching... I now am going to this method... far better IMO

allways put in the dark if in doubt, the heat from the window can bake your seeds and stop them germing
