12/12h or 20/4? Total DLI?
How much DLI do your babies get? How much watts, how many hours a day? Seems automatics are very productive under 20/4h cycles .. :-)

Cobs (or QBs) yes

as far as COBs, for efficacy/watt at a given wattage gen7 vero Cs arent any better than clu058-1825 gen 5s, so there are 4 or 5 more efficient than those chips, at a price (gen 5 3618, gen6 1825, gen6 3618, luminus cxm32 and maybe cxm27)

the cheaper luminus cxm22 are also as efficient as the vero7 up to 75W or so

not bagging on the vero 7s, they are excellent chips but by no means heads above anything else on the market. he said price wasnt an issue. gen6 3618 or QBs all the way

Lol at the post from juaquine.

Also what cobkits says is true, some of the other brands (citizen, luminus) are pretty much at par with Vero's...

I doubt there will be much difference in output thats worth worrying about

Well I went with the Vero 600 watt
with frame. Pretty excited to see how these hold up against my 1000w HPS. If I get good results or even close, I'll buy another one. Dan from Timbergrowlights helped out a ton and even helped me out with shipping issues. Really professional.

that also neglects to mention that veros are also better at 50W as well because they are cheaper than the crees

anybody buying crees for a new build in 2017 is misinformed and hanging on to outdated data. their current models excel in no areas

Anyone have any opinions/experience with Pacific Light Concepts? I've heard their cxb250 has good g/w performance. They just came out with a new PLC6 running at just under 600w that I'm interested in

The shipping is just an estimate .
I talked to Dan and got it shipped at a much lower price . He was super helpful.

So question for you all. This timber growlight is BAD ASS!, but what's the point of it being dimmable? I want the most light possible all the time lol
I understand maybe if your plants are too tall, but if you have your shit together you won't let that happen in the first place . Does dimming it change the spectrum and the intensity? I guess the same goes for my 1000w HPS as it's dimmable too.
