So I made some changes to the grow room to try and take care of some heat issues I'm dealing with. It was around 86-86 degrees F and now it's about 81-82 degrees F. So I came up with a crazy idea to try and vent the air through the normal bathroom exhaust. While I was in there I cleaned up the room, bleached the walls and the floor, cleaned the ducting and the bulb, cleaned the floor and I even cleaned up the blower while I was at it.

This is the bathroom exhaust that I'm gonna use in my little scheme. I'm gonna connect the in-line blower ducting to it and force the air out through the exhaust in the roof.

Once I got the exhaust fan out of the ceiling, I was disappointed to see that there wasn't anything behind it. I thought it was shotty work by the contractor to save money, but when I looked closer I saw there was a hole on the side.

I figured as long as I had it taken down I might as well clean out the bathroom exhaust fan. Damn thing hasn't seen daylight in probably 40 years.

The finished product. Now THAT'S ghetto fabulous.

I cleaned my in-line fan because it was so caked that I could believe that it wasn't somehow affecting the performance. The dust looked like cocaine but turns out it wasn't.

Now that I have the fan rigged up to receive ducting, I moved on to the next part of my bright idea which was taking off the light mount from my old hood. I'm gonna use this to connect the light to the ducting and suck air out that way.

The master plan

And how much did all this work cool the room down?
5 degrees. Nice.

Damn dude, you've really been working at it for a while huh? Super Silver Haze is a legendary strain. You really can;t lose when you grow it. Have you tried any of the crosses yet or will this be the first run?
Looks like I got some catching up to do.

I'm loving these SSH's. There's a dankness about them that can't be denied. Apart from being a little particular about the medium and fertilizer, they've been a breeze to grow. I haven't even given them any bloom nutes yet. All they're eating is some composted chicken manure mixed in with regular 'ol MG Organic Choice.
I'm trying to get the Earth Juice line, but things are slow going. I just bought the light so I'm kinda tapped out, but it's all good. All I really need is some high P bat guano or something which should only cost like $10. I think they've been flowering for exactly 30 days, give or take a day or two. Right now the smell is a skunk, and gymroom funk with a sweetness about it. Today when I smelled one of them, it was putting on a perfumey, flowery smell. The plants are relatively short at only 18 inches (KB and Sara), which I guess I can attribute to the 12/12 from seed thing.
I don't like it.
I can see how it'd be perfect for SOG, but I like big, bushy plants. I know I have another 40-50 days so I'm gonna hope for an ounce off each one. I really need to upgrade to a 600w...

Edmonda
As you can see the pollination was a smashing success. She got a pollen bukkake and now she's pregnant like a mu'fucker. I figure I might as well do her since she's the runt anyways. She's still pretty as hell though.

Sara
This plant is a mystery to me. I though she was a haze pheno, but she has the biggest buds of them all. I'm damn glad I'll be getting to run this strain again. I can already tell it's gonna be epic.

Kev's Bitch
After all's said and done, this is still my favorite plant. She's been the easiest to grow of all, and she smells so strong. She's resistant to bugs and fungus gnats, it's amazing.

Sexi Mexi
I started the SM's and the Plushberry at the same time, but as you can see the SM's are a lot bigger. I planted them in a shared bed, and I think the extra root space is what gave them room to grow so big. Makes me think I'm gonna be sprouting seeds like this from now on; in seed beds. I'm gonna transplant them tomorrow before the roots became entangled.

Plushberry
Bit of a sad story with he Plushes. I HAD seven sprouts, but I found out the hard way that I didn't kill all the mice in the house. They killed all three Neville's Hazes and two of the Plushberrys. If you look in the picture, one of them has little mouse bites on it. I would normally have been really pissed, but I have 3 more PB's and a bunch more NH's.
Not that I'm letting the mouse get off. His little nuts are mine.

New Equipment
After giving a few plasma donations and doing some other things, I was able to save enough cash to buy myself a 2ft 4 bulb t5 for my vegging. Imo, you can't beat a T5 for veg. For efficiency, lumens per watt, intensity--they're great. Then, I went to my grandmas old storage shed and found an evaporative cooler! It's basically a fan, but it works. It actually cool the air about 8 degrees which gets me in that perfect 78 degrees I'd like to be in. A good and bad thing though is that it raises the humidity pretty high. 50-60 now....lol. Perfect for flowering though so whatever.

Thanks JD, I'll look into that. I'm always on the lookout for cheap alternatives. I'm working with teas right now and I'm liking what I see. What do you use to add the humic/fulvic acids and to you know of any dry ingredients I could put in my tea that would add potassium silicate?

Wow man, that is a super cooler... well done.

lol Them east side rats are GANGSTER!
I put traps out an they're like 'fuck your traps ese'. They scraped off the food without setting it off. You could see the little claw marks in the peanut butter I left lol. Sneaky fuckers... I bought some poison but I don't wanna kill my dog accidentally. Hey btw, do you know what's better than the cutest cat in the world? Any dog. hehe
I hate cats. Prissy little bitches.... lol jk I'm actually warming up to the idea.
The 2ft 4 bulb light was marked at $120 but the store I go to gives me 20% off ( i think they give it to everybody idk ) so it was under $100. Worth every drop of blood if you ask me.

Ya man dogs will eat Tweekers and robbers....but i have never seen a dog other than a terrier or Heeler (not pitbull terriers) eat a rat. But cats ARE prissy, they see that rat and its like the very presence of the rat offends them. They sharpen there claws and torture the rat the way a rich spoiled child uses a magnifying glass to roast an ant hill....its whole sale slaughter. Also id recommend getting a maine Coone cat. That is what my big red one that looks like Garfield and Wilford Brimly's love child. He is like a dog, he follows me around and sleeps at my feet, and he attacks dogs for lols. My neighbors brings his skinny pit over and my cat fucks it up regularly..... he isnt prissy, just a bit needy for attention and FOOD. Gpod help you if you dont have food in his bowl....lol. He will stand on your chest if sleeping and stare at you until you wake up, and when your eyes open he goes."......MEEEEEEEEEOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!" but other than that its like having a bobcat for a pet..lare cats are the best, small one are pretty worthless tho.
