I'm loving these SSH's. There's a dankness about them that can't be denied. Apart from being a little particular about the medium and fertilizer, they've been a breeze to grow. I haven't even given them any bloom nutes yet. All they're eating is some composted chicken manure mixed in with regular 'ol MG Organic Choice.
I'm trying to get the Earth Juice line, but things are slow going. I just bought the light so I'm kinda tapped out, but it's all good. All I really need is some high P bat guano or something which should only cost like $10. I think they've been flowering for exactly 30 days, give or take a day or two. Right now the smell is a skunk, and gymroom funk with a sweetness about it. Today when I smelled one of them, it was putting on a perfumey, flowery smell. The plants are relatively short at only 18 inches (KB and Sara), which I guess I can attribute to the 12/12 from seed thing.
I don't like it.
I can see how it'd be perfect for SOG, but I like big, bushy plants. I know I have another 40-50 days so I'm gonna hope for an ounce off each one. I really need to upgrade to a 600w...
Edmonda
As you can see the pollination was a smashing success. She got a pollen bukkake and now she's pregnant like a mu'fucker. I figure I might as well do her since she's the runt anyways. She's still pretty as hell though.
Sara
This plant is a mystery to me. I though she was a haze pheno, but she has the biggest buds of them all. I'm damn glad I'll be getting to run this strain again. I can already tell it's gonna be epic.
Kev's Bitch
After all's said and done, this is still my favorite plant. She's been the easiest to grow of all, and she smells so strong. She's resistant to bugs and fungus gnats, it's amazing.
Sexi Mexi
I started the SM's and the Plushberry at the same time, but as you can see the SM's are a lot bigger. I planted them in a shared bed, and I think the extra root space is what gave them room to grow so big. Makes me think I'm gonna be sprouting seeds like this from now on; in seed beds. I'm gonna transplant them tomorrow before the roots became entangled.
Plushberry
Bit of a sad story with he Plushes. I HAD seven sprouts, but I found out the hard way that I didn't kill all the mice in the house. They killed all three Neville's Hazes and two of the Plushberrys. If you look in the picture, one of them has little mouse bites on it. I would normally have been really pissed, but I have 3 more PB's and a bunch more NH's.
Not that I'm letting the mouse get off. His little nuts are mine.
New Equipment
After giving a few plasma donations and doing some other things, I was able to save enough cash to buy myself a 2ft 4 bulb t5 for my vegging. Imo, you can't beat a T5 for veg. For efficiency, lumens per watt, intensity--they're great. Then, I went to my grandmas old storage shed and found an evaporative cooler! It's basically a fan, but it works. It actually cool the air about 8 degrees which gets me in that perfect 78 degrees I'd like to be in. A good and bad thing though is that it raises the humidity pretty high. 50-60 now....lol. Perfect for flowering though so whatever.
