hehe, living is good :)! I need to clean up my kitchen and finally make some oil. I've got a few oz of trim left that would go to good use.

I really thought I was done with bho forever, but there at the dispensary yesterday there was some strawberry cough oil @ 75% THC, so I got a gram. I'm enjoying it more with a drop in a concentrate bowl with hash on it (smoked with an Herb Iron) rather than onto a heated nail. The straight-on-a-nail shit has nearly killed me.

I had never dabbed o a nail until the cannabis cup last week. I loved it, I thought it was sooo smooth. All the guys Ii was with were coughing up a lung, but I'm so used to smoking blunts it wasn't even phasing me. Does teh strawberry cough oil really taste like strawberries?

No. I've never smoked oil that tasted like anything but, well, oil. For about 2 years, that was all I smoked, but started getting a little more educated on butane and titanium oxide, and stopped.

I havn't messed with the butane, I like alcohal extractions at home, but I would love to use CO2 if I ever get serious. I also have a glass nail so not worried about the titanium to much. When I was at the cup man all the oil, shatter, and wax was very flavorful. Lots of pine flavors, some strong lemon, and orange flavors form some, a couple that tasted like cleaner but not really in a bad way if that makes sense.

How do you do your alcohol extractions? I've got about half an ounce of bottom-of-the-jar-of-kind-bud that I've been accumulating for a few weeks, I was planning on making butter with it, but might give alcohol a try.

Also, props to my caregiver who just dropped by the house with free 1/8ths of White Rhino, Blue Dream and Bubblegum. I have now comparison tested myself into chair-lock.

So far the White Rhino is winning.

Nice damascus knife there ninja!

Wow you lucky dog I would love some free 1/8ths right now I'm out of actual bud for a few more weeks.

I did however finish a batch of Iso Oil last night though so I'll be dabbing and smoking trim blunts.

I make my Iso Oil as such: The key I think to getting a nice clean and pure oil with little to no chlorophyll is a fast wash with the alcohol. I use a small amount of trim at a time, and place it in a very fine metal strainer and simply squirt the Iso over the trim. This washes the oils off, but doesn't allow much time for the chlorophyll to transfer into the alcohol. After I make it through a whole bottle, I reuse the alcohol a second time and wash it through more fresh trim. This leaves me with a yellow liquid, with a little green to it but not much. Then I filter this liquid through a coffee filter into a dish I can put over a double boiler. I use the double boiler to evap the alcohol off and am left with a beautiful amber oil. Once it seems all the alcohol is evap'd I will usually toss the dish in the oven for about 10 minutes at 220 to try to get any left over water out. I've been pretty happy with this method, I'm working on a few ideas to improve it, and allow me to do more trim at once. I'm gonna try to make a cylinder to wash it through so I can do a whole oz at once but it still will be a fast clean wash. I doubt this method has the highest yeild but the quality is there, and the flavor seems to be pretty good and clean. Eventually I'd like to learn to do CO2 extraction but the Iso has been pretty simple and cheap to get started with.

Ninja - That blade patterning is amazing. I'll shoot a pic of the rhino tomorrow.

TC - Thanks, I'll give that a try soon.

Here's a bunch of new pics from yesterday/this morning.

First, I moved three plants from 2-gallon pots into 7-gallons, one Pineapple Express, one Critical Jack, and the Kaboom. I'd really hoped to not do this with the Kaboom, as I still don't know the sex (the clones refuse to freaking root). Hopefully I'll know before it's time to flip it.

This is the final training I'll do on this 16-head LSD. There are two branches I'm letting come up the middle, the rest are pulled to the perimeter.

I'm also starting to deal with the assymetric clones. You can see the 4 branches I'll be training.

Here's the full veg chamber.

Here is the flowering chamber. I moved two LSD in yesterday. The Hash Passions have ended their first week. There's still a possibility that one of them is male...

Took the Critical Jack and Pineapple Express that I put in 7 gallon pots yesterday and topped them to 16 heads. That should buy me an extra week of veg with them, trying to get my timing down for perpetual.

I hope so! My minisplit gets put in on Saturday (assuming the installer doesn't flake -- damn hippies), and I'll stick another 1K HPS into the room. My goal is 3K in the flower chamber.

On the "more good news" front, the Hash Passion that I didn't for sure know the sex on turned out to be female. So out of 10 seeds planted, I ended up with 2 females making it to flower (which is honestly only one fewer than I had expected).
