So... Game Cam. Look into those that send images to your cell. Viewing from afar is much easier, takes images of the thief and makes for a great post. Limits chances of you returning to find officers if that be the case. Hide them well of course, and set traps at the cameras that will destroy them if they are not aware of the trap. (acid works well)

~Trap the area.
~Be the cougar.
~Use ammonia to keep pest "cougars" at bay. Tampons dipped, tie well to branches. (of surrounding brush, not your cannabis plant. May want to cammo them a bit)
~ Bad to worse: Corn may be ready to harvest first, if your in the mid west you can do better...
~ Broken Branches: make good clones.
~ Tall and seen easily: LST / tying down or trellising/scrogging keeps plants low and out of site, typically larger harvest granted they are still in adequate light. (screen can be painted cammo and rolled up for easy in and out of remote locations)
~ Fly overs: Pluck a leaf, take it with you and find a place where foliage matches or is similar in color etc. This is your next years garden location.
