Yeah, there's a lot going on there...lol...Too much water for my preference...The more water, the higher percentage of oil you lose to as reclaim...Generally speaking. Bet it gives a smooth hit though!

Wow, that thing is pulling some fire for sure. I got one of those re-claimers as well to use with my hot hit but i don't care for how high it is with the female adapter so I'm going to try this:

The more you cool the oil, more will solidify and turn into reclaim before it hits your lungs. Getting stuck on the inside of your glass, and not in your lungs.

I always thought cooling it down just benefited the pressure/temperature.
Sounds like it helps to collect bad crap that ends up in the lungs.

If by "bad crap" you mean like half you hit of oil/wax, then yeah. When oil cools, it re-solidifies, and sticks to the inside of your glass piece. You're not filtering out any bad crap, you're just taking inefficient, wasteful hits of wax. That's cool, bro...if you wanna lose half your wax to reclaim, by all means, keep filtering it through as much water as possible.

lil dog, fucking awesome again on that female hot hit slide, that solves a few of my issues, I think we have similar tastes as I love your rigs, lol. And yea dude, the adapter I'm using is actually collecting most of the claim at this point, lol. Ordering the last two 18mm female slides now, hehe.
With the volume of concentrates I consume, ie the number of hits I take in a row and the size of the hits, loosing a lil to reclaim in the water chambers is worth getting a smoother hit that I can hold in and not choke to death. Shit half the time I use my 3' double perk beaker bong for hot hit dabs.
Also, nails waste so much fucking more than what you loose to the perk or recycler as compared to using a hot hit wand.
The vast majority of claim is collecting in the first section before it ever goes thru water, which btw, when doing a fresh fill, I actually use hot water, gives smoother hits.
By all means, continue to use w/e method you prefer, I'm just not concerned with a lil loss, which goes in food eventually anyway...
Maybe it's a status thing, If I do 10 dabs and 10% of it is lost, no skin of my back, just go buy more bho, hehe. I have no issues walking into my favorite shops and getting grams of budder and shatter on a weekly basis.

You buy oil, I make my own. I have a LB of ground up nugs chilln in my freezer, so I'm not really "concerned" with waste. I also turn my reclaim into edibles. I just prefer to get my full hit when I dab. I wasn't knocking your method, but just wanted lildog to know that you're not filtering out anything bad, just not getting as full of a hit.
But yes, by all means, please continue to do what your comfortable with. I just didn't know if you guys realized that that much water filtration is affecting the amount of wax you actually ingest with every hit. You know, not knockin', just spreading info to my fellow dabbers.

I LOVE the dry rig I posted pics of on page 5, cools the hit enough that I can hold 'em in an only barely sputter out a cough at the end, if at all. NEVER cleaned the rig once, by far the least reclaim of all my rigs. Smooth, packs a punch, and great on the go!

Yea, I love the hot hits, they are not for sissy's.
I'm not sure the new female fitting bowl will help on the stuck reclaim since it's joint runs against the flow. It also doesn't appear to be the quality of the hot hit slide either, looks narrow on the inside and only has 2 holes (might be better as well).
So, I would wait until I get mine and report back in a day or so.

I just keep a watch on Craigslist, no way I would spend the $500 they want at shops for some of these recyclers. If you grew it and extracted it you can pick up rigs for cheap trading that way.
