Hello all. Just checking in. Home from a Polish restaurant which was lovely. Massive amounts of red wine downed. I hate that the mrs can communicate with the waiters and i have no fucking idea whats going on.

Yada yes about 10,000 lumens for the 130w CFLs.

I subjected the Rangess to some serious heat on Thursday. Every time i take her from the side path, which is shaded, for some extra sun it turns into a 35C + day. I melted a few leaves. She is a battler so shrugged it off but the leaves are cactus.

I have 7 small plants under a 4ft twin fluoro with one cool white tube n one warm white tube. Each Tube being energy saving 36watts. Everyday I notice some sorta new growth, whether it's stem growth or new leaves comin thru. Eventually, being less than a week, I hope to have the other two twin fixtures up n running.

Been googling like no tomorrow n am all agoggle lol But so much conflicting info, hence my many questions...and here's another one....is this info right, you think? -> HPS lamps can be used to grow a crop from start to finish. Tests show that the HPS crop will mature 1 week later than a similar crop under MH, but it will be a bigger yield, so it's better to wait the extra week.

Asking because another site said Boo to HPS as a whole grow light and so I was thinking of buying (sheesh, more $$, starting to wish I had never started to think of growing) blue filters..... an extra week is fine by me...

Mi goreng is my fave noodle in Oz but uk's pot noodles are so so so good, there's no contest...

so I have 7 plants veggin. 2 of which are going to b mothers. The rest will flower and,provided they are female, wateva yield I won't care. But in the meantime, by the time those 5 are harvested, my clones from my good looking mums are gonna b bout 1/4 to halfway thru flower. Being my first grow, I'm simply growing 4 bagseeds and cluster bomb. Saving my white widow for the second or third grow. Reasonable first grow attempt?

HPS yes all day, there for flowering and if u aint got a dedicated veg area then dont bother fucking with MH.. if u want a small veg/mum area then T5 flouros are swwet as or CFL's which im not an expert on but there fine too,.....

I've asked my local tobacco shop 2 get those clear cellulite papers in...apparently they are pretty spech

They're a party trick jats.. Look cool, and don't smoke poorly, but they sizzle a little and obviously taste different, and once the packet is open the humidity in the air gets to them and they all stick to each other. Just get him to stock smoking paper slims or ocb papers.

man if its only a few plants and ur not trying to supply the eastcoast then ive got a 400w HPS right here for ya, $50, globe and ballast, plus its interchangable with retro fit MH globes if u wanted to veg a while with MH...
But go ahead and look at Discount Hydroponics on ebay, u will never need to look anywhere else or compare prices, they are always the cheapest even with delivery and if u make a phone order u get 5% off, compared to buying over ebay.
SO light is sorted, a 400,600,1000w HPS too easy..
Now ull wanna get a cooltube, see they sell these things as a little package deal, not pricey at all, so ull get ballast, globe and cooltube for not alot of $$..

u wanna grow in clay pellets yeh?, wots sort of system?
If i could sell u on coco i would, buy bag of coco, put the coco in pots, use canna coco a+b all the way thru the grow and PK 13/14 for a week thru bloom,.. any mistakes that u make, laziness and and equipment failure the coco will handle alot better then clay pellets...
Get a trunchoen and pH pen and START GROWING mayne!
u dont need ur grow area sorted at this early growing stage bcos u can pretty much start bem up anywhere u can fit ur pots.. but u should start to prepare it, so wot grow space are u working with? and we'll talk ventilation

maybe I'm a little paranoid........about the helicopters and my large elec billz and the carbon cops coming over one day,,but I have heard they work well for half the juice/heat etc.....
I would like to get a discussion going and I realize that is hard because of all our complete lack of experience with these lights.... catch 22

Hi Street, yeah, I just found them the other day, I ordered a fair bit of stuff from them and I saved heaps... I have them in my favourites.... I plan on shopping there more in the future... I saved $150 on a tent alone.... Totally worth it....

sup lace, yeh i prob shoulda mentioned them earlier, the guy is really helpful, he gives me discounts on top of the 5% and sometime chucks in freebies or dont charge me postage..
and there stuff is quality, unlike that aussieponics crap

wot ballprk elec bill are u worried bout jats?, fuck the porkchoppers, they cost waaay too much to keep in the sky for ur/anyones op...
The LED lights, theres a guy on here i seen using them in a decent op 'repvip' is his name, he has gnarly lush plants..
But yeh, its hard to find reputable info on LEDs, i mean spend a few G then find out that ur yielding half of what ur used to,..but with bills increasing 40% etc the trade off might be well worth it.. i dunno, i still find it hard to get excited about LEDs.
Im getting my cash stack up and moving country and growing greenhouse, take advantage of the free elec in the sky.. yeh things need to change cos i dont know how much longer multiple HPS's will be viable..

Elec savers i use.. i put my fridge on a timer, i dont use my LCDs unless i have company instead i got a little portable tv that i watch..i dont use the elec stove at all, i use the bbq most of the time and i have a gas camper stove that stays on the stove, i dont have a microwave, use energy saver light bulbs, and just save elec all round by keeping switches off, not leaving shit running
