Lots of countries require some type of vaccinations when travelling to them. Tis nothing new. Even to visit the Poms you need a few.all our other needles are referred to as immunization needles for polo or whatever because they protect your from that disease.

I can't imagine those temps. Brissy has been lucky the last few years...this year has been pretty much 29-30c average up here. Even inside in a small tent in a 16m2 room with no air con... hasn't been over 33c yet.

I don't think the passports are an issue, the bigger issue is the mass persecution and political divide over this issue. I am fully vaxxed, and I do distance and wear my mask due to lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, but one disagreement in opinion with a pro Vax about the discrimination present and I'm immediately a bigoted, fascist, anti health, anti science, anti-vax terrorist in their eyes. I had "pro vaccine, anti fascist, anti racists" attack me, mum and a few patrons at a cafe the other day because we wouldn't show them our vaccine passports. Went on to smash up a shop at West end and then call everyone there fascists and white supremacists while enforcing their ideological views with an iron fist. It's like they can't accept that vaccinated people can also want no part of this shit.
I don't have to show anyone my passport lol. I'd hate to be so scared that I walk around caring about other people's medical status. I'm only out to protect myself lol.
I hope this stops soon. I want Australia back.

I had this convo with a FB friend from Sydney. He is unvaxed and was complaining he gets asked for his vaccination cert. I've never been asked for it (im in Tas). My farther in law and my daughter were in Sydney over xmas and apart from the airport when returning were never asked for it. I asked Reza and his mate from the Hunter Valley and its not a thing. I asked my sister in the ACT and she has never been asked for it and Ruby in SA has also never been asked for it. Seems to be people worry about it but its not a thing... It will of cause become less of a thing..
I also asked Riggs who is in Asia and its a daily occurance and another mate who woks in Abu Dhabi but lives in Scotland gets asked all the time (he travels thru England to and from work)

We've got a lot of people marching around a certain area. Mainly the university area. If I stay away from the city it's a complete non issue, but our CDB is littered with activists from both sides of the fence ATM.
I just don't care about either side of the fence lol..it just seems like you can't be neutral anymore. Having your table flipped over due to not wanting to out your medical status was my straw. If only I wasn't such a bum I'd move out to the sticks.
Its never the authorities checking. Most of the shops here are pretty lenient, it's just a small vocal minority carrying on.

also imuminastion/vaccination records have always been a thing at least for the last 30+ years it’s just now being called a passport because of covid. Your records should also list any other vaccinations that are current.

Yep. I worked in maintenance for healthcare facilities on and off over the last few years. So many people were completely fine with the other numerous vaccines needed for the job, but had an immediate issue with this one from day one. Jobs were handed in and we had shortages.
