Although 1500 k is my approx ..(taking into account the % of red / FR wls of the " hot white It might be 2000 K or 2500 K as far as I know ...
I've to ask for an average value...

Maybe I'm way wrong here...
But if normal warmest whites do have an average temp of 2500 K ,how much it would be for whites with a large peak at 655nm ?
(And more FR there of course ,yes..It is needed.. )
Nice pic ,there....You mean (by the peaks ) that only with these spectral graphs you get a temp of 2000-1500-1000 K ?

It depends from different kinds of phodphors used....
Our horti leds have totally d;ifferent relative power spectral curve..But ,I'm pretty sure that they are "warmer " than 2500 K
Pinks are,for sure ..... And trust me ,they are really powerful...(approx 400 mW output with nitride phosphors... )

When I will light 6-8 of them,with some ladies underneath,
then we will all know ,if it is a funny trick or no ...

At start we wanted the same average yield from a 400 Watt HPS ( at 0.5 -0.75 'gpw' ),with just 1 / 2 of the power
( Hmmm..Let's see ,if we are-already- there with cheapos onewatters ,with wide angle...Suprises might occur... )
Now we've set new goals ...
(with our own leds ..Way better quality...)
Harvest the same average yield from a 400 Watt HPS ,with just 1 / 4 of the power .. ?

200-300 gr from 100 Watts... ?

That is going to be way super-funny trick ,If we manage to do it...

To us the only " Energy " that really makes sense is the one of overall 'power' multiplied with 'overall' time...

So either i.e 400 Watts x 100 hours or either 100 Watts x 400 Hours ....
Same energy ...
Same plants or same yield...?
Think again....
Way different.....

800 umol/sec / m^2 for 12 hours per day....
400 umol/sec m^2 for 15 Hours a day .....

....
He-he...Oppsss..

Well,there's no chance that we can go that small ,due to different leds used...( in size terms )
As for power ,13 Watts are pretty nice & gentle to canopies...

We are going to have both gen 1 ( ordinary whites & reds ) & Gen 2 (enhanced pinks & whites )..
As gen 2 panels are going to cost a bit more ...
Both of them they are going to be available in the " ASL 24 " format....

Maybe ,gen 2 ,panels are going to be,also, in the format of "ASL 13 "..( small floodlights )
After testing.... ( i.e. if 6 x 13 is proved to be better than 3 x 24 ....)
..Yes ...Ganja's configs,are certainly "champs"...

Gen 1 ,is already being " trimmed " to perform as efficiently as possible.....
Gen 2 is going to be under some heavy tests & experiments ,pretty soon...

We'll not rest ,until we " bury" Hid lighting (regarding plant growth ) ,really deep ,once and for all....

I'm about to start my third indoor grow. I will grow in a tent 80hx60x60cm from black/white plastic sheet. I will plant one or two (still thinking because i'm afraid the male fact) seeds in growbed like soma's of soma seeds. The strain is a crossed strain from my second grow kali mist female cross "cretan" hermie (short but not indica effect, with sativa's thin leaves but smaller than my hand the biggers). For veg i will use one cfl 80 watt 6400k and for flowering i'm thinking about to add a led panel of ten leds. I want to use only one colour for an economy order because on www.satisled.com led orders start from 10 units and you, brothers from greece, understand the situation. I already have a heat sink 20x30. So my question is what colour of led to use parallel with 6400k cfl, possibly red or warm white?

I was 90% sure about this. Thanks Captain. I forget to write that i will do scrog (for first time). When i will start in few days i will start a post. I saw you tell about 13 format panel, how much cost it to you?

you can buy 10 pieces from every "color" on ebay... :)

If you're gonna buy some cheapos for experimenting mainly (and have some pretty decent harvests with low-budget equip ) ,
just go for any asian made led...
You might get lucky and get some nice ones...

If you're gonna invest in a serious led panel,then either you go high quality brands ,
or find a decent manufacturer to build your leds ,within your given "specs" & "standards"...

I'm afraid ,those are the most common options...

SDS, if you get those "pink" and "hot whites" made I might be interested in offsetting your cost with the purchase of a few of them. I have yet to find a company that is willing to make a run just for me. I would prefer 3 watt diodes, but using 1 watt leds might work in some cases. Send me the .pdf of the datasheet if you get one.
