Good evening in the company!*Ganja I had said at the beginning of this grow, that you will exceed 1,8g/watt!So...I'm waiting for the final result with impatience!*Sailor these "AL" seeds was doing a fantastic job

Well done,my brother.
You 've managed to build your own "Astir Design" panels..
Pretty easy,wasn't it ?
Very nice job,done there ...

...
Now...Once leds are soldered ,you do not have to worry about humidity ,that much....
(I'll test one ,actually spraying it ,all over the pcb with water ,under pressure..Do you think it will go KA-boooommmmm..?)
...
Have you installed a fan over the heatsinks ?
i've done it... i sprayed twice the plants with water this summer while they were under open panels.. no problem.. of course i don't recommend it to anyone but if you "miss" the target during foliar feeding for example there is not big of a problem... the drivers are also 100% waterproof too.

SDS, Now that I have seen the panels affix to the heat sink, I had a thought...

IF the panels can be made into plug n play (quick connectors) without heat sinks (customer purchases HS from a more local source) it would bring the world-wide shipping cost down considerably

Supplemental Light for Low Branches

Thought you might like to see how much
staggered low watt led panels help increase low branch bud size/volume

First 2 pics are led tent with < 20 watts supplement below the ufos penetration (before the hanger broke).

Pic 3 is HOT5. After realizing how much fuller the led low buds/branches are (~ 4xs), yesterday I added a 3 bulb vanity using 2 ww 13w cfls + 1 @ 24w

At the first hours of 2nd day ,at 4th transition week.
Cycle is 12.15' / 11.45' ....
Today is the 51st day (passed ) ,since their " chloroplasts got into bussiness, for first time "...
Started from approx 48 Watts , escalating gradually to 190 Watts...

Need your help in designing...
What are your thoughts ,about smaller wattage ,lights ?
( But with the new gen AstirHorti leds...)

Any opinions / thoughts are very welcome ....

A) 12 cool, 6 neutral,4 warm,2 red B) 8 cool, 6 neutral, 6 warm, 4 red. veg panels only

12 cool, 6 neutral,4 warm,2 red :
Way too much blue / green wls ....

Keep testing them ,though...
Nothin' to loose...Only to gain...

8 cool, 6 neutral, 6 warm, 4 red. :
Better but still much blue / green wls ...

By now we 've learned that the ' Warm White ' is the best available phosphor led for plant growth....

No...
Neutrals (mainly ) should be out of the panel....
Replaced by WW.
Even for vegging...

But keep testing them...
One never knows...
But I think ,with ganja's config ,you should had got better vegging plants..

Goodmorning everybody,

SDS i have a led strip ( cool white) which i bought for about 10euros....It has about 30 small leds (60 per meter) and im powering it with a 12V mobile phone charger...

Do you think i can veg one sprouting plant for 2-3 days (until it sprouts and for 1-2 more days)? until drivers arive ?

It looks like this...

I had an idea you propably already had, but i ll tell you anyway...

What if you dont have to use soldering at all for leds on pcb...

The idea is pretty simple. You make a custom panel (like the whites u got) but on pcb there are little clip-on's in every led circle which are going to receive the little led in a drawer movement...(συρταρωτά :P )

From the outside the clips will be completely insulated...

And you just , plug and play...

And what about thermal contact between led & clip ?
Some thermal paste needed there also...
Nice idea...
Needs a bit of careful designing there...

Thermal paste will be aplied in every new led that is going to be inserted onto the pcb..nothing tricky there, i think :)

*Clip is only going to be connected with the +/- "legs" of the led...the base of the led will be touching the pcb as usual...

To Astir Team :
Guys, ok...
Our ' man ' said that quality uva chips (at approx 400mW output ),
are 4-5 x times more expensive than the bridgelux H1 bin....
But look .... PB265554.JPG..

A bud directly under of one 395-410 nm violet 1 watt led
(output approx at 250 mW : Edison led ,EDEV-1LS1-R ,bin J) ..
Sure fluffier and more airy bud than most of the rest...
But still on transition period...
Not on a heavy flowering stage...
Look trichome concentration...
We have to make some hot whites with uv chips ... ( Mark UV )

SDS: In your post # 850. The basic layout is very Merkaba  I wonder whether the 2 equilateral triangles (currently have the same 1500 diodes) should be different - one triangle one color, the other another
