Why they gotta have so many John Wayne movies on late at night? First McLintlock now The Shootist. I got shit to do tomorrow damnit.
Yeah I love em,superb acting opposed to these mondern day movies being released,I seen mclintlock thats a good one,I just recently seen a movie based on general custer,it was from 91 or 92,it was a 2 part movie, that was another good one. It's a refreshing look into the way things were once even if it's only a 50 year old movie portraying 120 years ago. I spent hours of my childhood in silence with my great grampa watching old westerns. Only time I'd see his eyes moist.
Though that's not the proudest moment or subject in American history, I'd like to see that I think. Never heard of it. Is it a made for tv movie? Speaking of which, how bout lonesome dove? That movie almost made me depressed it was over.Yeah I love em,superb acting opposed to these mondern day movies being released,I seen mclintlock thats a good one,I just recently seen a movie based on general custer,it was from 91 or 92,it was a 2 part movie, that was another good one.

I always wondered what they thought of American westerns in the uk. As for real history goes, what happened in 19th century USA was like nothing else in world history. I'm sure it can be appreciated world wide, or at least should be.Ahh nostalgia x The closest I've gotten to a proper western is Dances with Wolves, Last of the Dogmen and Rango lol
It's a must for any fan of westerns. Or even just a fan of Tommy Lee Jones or Robert DuvallNever seen lonesome dove, but I might just give it a look.
Yeah it's really worth it,shame it's only 3 seasons tho,or you could just download them like I did,I'm gonna check lonesome dove out, looks like a all star cast, from tommy lee, duvall, glover,I gotta see it now.I remember when deadwood first came out I watched first couple episodes but fell off for some reason. Is it worth getting the DVDs?
Purchase it immediately and watch it. You have done yourself a disservice. All kidding aside, it's an awesome miniseries.Never seen lonesome dove, but I might just give it a look.

Speaking of more current shows, has anybody seen Hell on Wheels? It's a good one, in my opinion. Finished the first season not long ago.I remember when deadwood first came out I watched first couple episodes but fell off for some reason. Is it worth getting the DVDs?
First time hearing about it,I might give that a look also.Speaking of more current shows, has anybody seen Hell on Wheels? It's a good one, in my opinion. Finished the first season not long ago.
As will I with deadwood. I'm suprised you've never seen it. There is several movies, all prequels and sequels none that the original actors are in though. I'd have to say it's my favorite western movie experience of all time. It's amazing that it was made as a tv mini series. Especially one of Duvalls best accomplishments, don't make em likenhim no more.Yeah it's really worth it,shame it's only 3 seasons tho,or you could just download them like I did,I'm gonna check lonesome dove out, looks like a all star cast, from tommy lee, duvall, glover,I gotta see it now.
Yeah I don't think I've heard of it before either. You watch the new show Vegas with Dennis Quaid?Speaking of more current shows, has anybody seen Hell on Wheels? It's a good one, in my opinion. Finished the first season not long ago.
