I'm having a go in the Autumn once I've got a spare led panel to play with.
I'm aiming for overall cooling so I won't be doing anything to the panel other than opening it up, finding the hottest points on the heatsinks and attaching the cooler units. The actual reservoir and pumps will be outside the tent and powered separately. It'll take a bit of light machining and a lot of swearing but should reduce the overall heat the panel produces by 20%. If it works it means I can adapt other panels and have 4 panels running all year instead of just the two during the summer months.
Obviously it won't be ground breaking engineering, just my way of adapting to the space I've got and using the endless boxes of spare PC parts I've got lying round doing nothing :)

I just tossed a bunch of spare cables I've been accumulating for years. Now I need a RS232 cable.

Good info, so based on that width a pair of 140mm fans would hit almost all the fins.

If the fins are .75" high and the base plate is .25" for a total of 1" high, surface area is 4700cm²

If the fins are 1" high and the base plate is .25" for a total of 1.25" height, surface area is 5600cm²

So assuming 4700 and assuming the fans were ventilating all the fins, it should be good for 150W. Assuming 5600, it should be good for 185W. Your driver/COB combo will dissipate about 220W so if you really crank those fans you may still get a nice Tj.

If you decided to use it as a passive sink for a vegging lamp etc, at 4700 it would be good for 43W and at 5600 it would be good for 50W.
It is in fact the later...1/4" base plus 1" fins. So we are looking at about 5600cm^2 cooling heatsink. No quite enough, but might be able to make it work. Running the drivers external is going to be a must then. Any bit less heat in the immediate area of the sink will help hopefully.
I was even thinking on fan per cob directly on the back of them. What's an extra couple watts of cooling fans if it means optimum Tc for the unit.
The other option(other than just doing it right) is to run them at 700ma...6 cobs 700ma...~185w. Also pushing it but efficiency and heat would be better. A lot on the efficiency. But then I am just trying to make it work. Instead of making the right light. So we will see what direction this turns.
What about liquid cooling them?
The AT platform is not my end goal. So if my quick little design doesn't work for that heatsink...thenI will get a sink that will work.

I positioned a 12" household fan so that ~ 6" blows across my BML SPYDR (6 x 3ft bars) has radically cooled the bars/driver + the other half of the fan nicely blows across the canopy

What can you do with the chh4 on the comp? (Guod, hope all is well) Just check current levels or can you adjust set points and shit?!? Now if we can get one for the iPhone (like the iponic or whatever) THAT would be kickass and id invest in an enviro control.

If you do connect it to your computer make sure you've got a spare hard drive, can't install the software on the same disc as OS!

There's a gap in the market, why not write an app yourself. I'm allergic to apple products :)

awww I was hoping you'd find a spot for the IG in there somewhere too. Love to see what you could do with that BD under one.
I too was hoping to see the Indagrow between some apaches. Curious to see how the crossover does, and those Red\FR pontoons.

I know. Me too. AT has me doing a few tests again. So I have dedicated the room to them. I am working on adding 3x6 to the room. I ripped all the cabinets and shit out of the work room. I think I can add on without a complete teardown...just an addition should do it and give testing capabilities.

The different spectrums are the major reason why I can't. But one day soon it will be in play again.

I feel ya on the og and being super picky. If you dont hit their sweet spot they will grow super slow. But worth the struggle at the end!
I love OG. It is my favorite of all strains to smoke. But I also have a personal goal to push my yields. And OG doesn't do it in the yield department.
