on myth busters they proved they do bite. They can only penetrate soft skin. In most cases can't penetrate skin. They do have venom. It create in irritating burning sensation. Not as toxic as black widows or brown recluse. Like I said all types of daddy long legs. All 4 types. Not just spiders. Just like a bee sting won't kill you unless you are allergic. You still don't want to be stung by a bee or bit by a daddy long legs..

Yup, interestingly brown recluse have similar fangs too. I get what you're saying. I would still rather a daddy long leg bite over a bee sting any day. LOL Also, only the Pholcidae family are the only ones with venom glands.Harvestmen don't have them and neither do craneflys aka mosquito hawks. Not sure what the fourth type would be you are reffering to. There are only three and then Opiliones are broken down into 4 or 5 suborders. Opiliones are an order. Pholicadea are a family. Keep in mind order of taxonomic classificaiton, kingdom-phylum-class-order-family-genus-species. So Opiliiones diverged first then went into separate sub-orders that then gave way for different families including Pholcidae.

But yea. Moral of the story. Nothing to worry about. LOL

HPS wins still the most efficient Heath Robbinson got just over 2 gpw in a vertical grow with a 600w hps till I see them numbers I'm waiting for plasma lights to get better.

Thanks to COBs, HPS is no longer the most efficient, it is 35% efficient, LED is up to 59% efficient if you want to spend the $$. Got a link to the 2 gpw? If Heath Robinson can do 2 gpw with HPS he can do 3+ gpw with top notch LED, and he can just use shelves instead of creating a wall of hyrponic plumbing.

I grew with a bare vertical 600HPS for a few cycles and only got .5g/W. The plants just tipped toward the light and a lot of the light was escaping above and below the canopy. It also took a lot more space than horizontal to get the same job done. Switched to LED and getting .95 g/W regularly heading above 1 gr/W soon I expect.

The nugs have to be super dank to compare fairly

1000 watts of HPS beats 600 watts of led by what was the final number.. around 25 grams...

you obviously failed at school

So why does this guy get over 2 grams per watt and this guy can not get 1 gram per watt. And you can not do vertical with an LED you want to save money on power go vertical. https://www.rollitup.org/t/heaths-flooded-tube-vertical.149998/

P.S. learn to read jackass.
what are you getting per watt... ?

fact is you have so many variables in the equation but if HPS was so far ahead of the rest why aren't there regular 2 and even more grams per watts threads...

I have my doubt but good luck to him if he achieved it...if you base your usage of a light off his grows and you aren't hitting that the question must be asked 1) why and 2) why stay with HPS

That looks pretty badass, although i don't know what I am looking at. It says 76 oz plant so i assume that pic is just one plant as opposed to the 80+ plants used in the first link. So how do you get a huge plant like that wrapped around a single 600? Also from the looks of it, I cant figure how you get a single 600 to reach all those bud sites?

both lights work just fine,it all comes down to the grower...like with all things.
i know i get way over 1g a watt,it's not hard,with hps,good soil,good air,good heat,good humidity..ect..it all counts.

this is the first hps lover i have seen in a long time chime in,yea he came hard, but has good points, and wrong ones to.

do i see myself getting rid of all my hps..hell no.
do i see myself buying a LED light...hell to the yes..

it all comes down to genetics. You are comparing critical mass , one of the largest yielding strains to an oldschool real blue dream in 5 gals. In 7 gals. He should get a much bigger yield. You can't compare gpw unless both growers are growing the same strain, using same nutrients and same media and same veg time.

done and done

some of those photos are the same from the previous thread which you posted and he says in that thread there are 2 X 600 W.

Thread 1 week 9 12/12 2 X 600W

Thread 2 (which you say is 3 X 600W)

Quote from Heath "here is a later grow where I surrounded the vertical bulbs with 6 plants." yet you say in your post 2 plants

So what is it... 2 plants? 3 plants or 2 bulbs or 3 bulbs...

2 threads with conflicting information..

Im not saying his plants look shit.. the buds look great but why the bullshitting?
