I would advise against stopping all air flow, due to the heat the lamps will produce in that period. I wouldn't like my temp fluctuate at ~10°C differences all day.
Any danger for health ?

yeah smoking in general is bad for you but you dont need to smoke it in order to get the health benefits.. It doesnt do damage to your brain either, it actually causes feedback between neurones. we have canniboid receptors in our body and our own brain makes canniboid like molecules to fit in our naturally occurring canniboid receptors.

why are you smoking/growing weed if you're going to bash it?

Actually picking buds right off the plant and smoking them is a pretty stupid thing to do. When you do that you are smoking chlorophyl that hasn't been broken down and you can get a harsh smoke out of it. I know someone who got bronchitis doing that. No joke.
Marijuana definitely has it's medicinal values. Smoking it however does involve risk. Anytime you're putting hot smoke down your airway you can end up doing damage to your body. It's a well known fact that chronic marijuana use can lead to asthma symptoms. It also raises your heart rate which can be dangerous for some people. Vaping at low temps is the way to go. Vaporizers were invented in the 70's but the stupid US government kept them out of consumers hands b/c they are considered paraphernalia.
My jardin gave off an odor too. Most likely all tents do. The best thing to do is set it up and let is air out for as long as you can. I gave mine a couple of weeks before any plants went in.
Ya, it may not cause cancer but like I said above smoking it can cause other problems. I know people from college who hit the bong a little too hard and they developed asthma. I'm talking people who smoked it all day, every day. IMO vaporizing is a different story. If you vape at low temps, vape high quality shit, and don't do it every day I think you can vape without problems.

I just got back form dinner and checked the thread thinking kermit would have come out to play. Not sure where he is. Maybe he's checking for bud rot or starting his new book on cannabis cultivation. After he dissed rosenthal's growers handbook I checked amazon.com and saw that the book has 152 reveiws with over 80% giving it 5 stars and another 15% giving it 4 stars. Trust me, it's a good book. @noham, I agree with what you say you "have to check" and double check, everything you read. If you check around you will see that almost everyone out there keeps their extraction fan on at night during flowering. Like I said in another post, why wouldn't you want a fresh air exchange 24/7 during flowering?

Would'nt you agree that it's even more optimal to stop the intake/exhaust just for the CO² to max out in concentration in the tent ( You still let fans run inside of it )
Then restart the whole air flow in and out ?

Why don't you go ahead and measure CO2 concentration in your grow space with different air circulating methods.
No one can tell you which way is best, because just 1ft in height could make a big difference. The limit is the sky in grow room design and variability.
-with that said, I really doubt you can build a flawless system on your first try. I know how much you aim to, like all of us did I guess, but it will be a lot easier to know what to do after you have the basics set up.
Aim for something universal and a setup that is variable, and check the temps, CO2 in the air, humidity for yourself. There's really no way to know how will it work in practice, until it actually is in practice.

Lol classic Edgar..my jardin gave off an odor most likely all tents do...no, no they don't...you don't want to load up co2 at night actually noid you want to during the day when they are taking it in in much larger amounts..this is why in aco2 setup you don't use an exhaust at all, constantly at least..you dump the air if you need periodically..
I actually don't know anything about using Co2 except that I wouldn't want to run it in a room where I was sleeping. I was under the impression that you had decided not to use it yourself. I've been growing for years without it and I'm happy with my results so I don't feel I need to "go there" at this point.
I just looked at the index on my growers handbook by rosenthal and I see there are about 15 pages dedicated to the topic. If I were you I'd do a lot of research on the subject before getting in too deep.
My jardin is over two years old and there's still a unique smell to it. The material just smells different than anything else in my house. I'm not saying it's bad or toxic at this point, or when I first got it, I'm just saying it has a unique smell.
I do feel a little bit of an air out should be done with any new tent before you put plants in. Just like when I buy new sheets I wash them b/c I can smell the fabric b/c the sheets are brand new. Or when I buy a new shower curtain I wash it b/c that new plastic smell is not good for you.
