The AR platform rifle is the most popular and best selling rifle in America. They are in the hands of millions of people who daily don't murder or menace anybody. Why do you want to menace them?

If you want to be honest and law abiding there is only one way to disarm the American public: amend the constitution to revoke 2A, and specifically prohibit citizens from owning weapons. Good luck.

I would, unless they were convicted of a crime using a firearm. Then, depending on the case, I would hand down a suspension of their right to own a gun, that fits the crime.

All other felons have the right to own firearms once they paid their debt to society, IMO.

Folks have been complaining about loss of rights since the place here started, now we are expecting drones hovering at every bedroom window and orbiting cameras that can keep constant watch on large swaths of cities in real time. Now, when are you going to being this uprising? And how, exactly will it occur?

Who will pay the taxes so the soldiers get paid? I have friends in the military. Those in the military will tell their disdain for Obama, especially when he closed the government and didn't pay some current and veterans. Lots of national guard didn't get paid on time and especially hate him. Many have told me they aren't signing up again until the liberals get out.

The difference is between someone killing someone, and someone killing people. People get murdered all over the world, but where mass murders are involved, it seems to happen in places where guns can be easily acquired. It may indeed be true that guns don't kill people, people do. But it is also very arguable that people do not kill a dozen people in a movie theatre with a knife, but they can quite "happily" do it with their legally obtained automatic weapon. With the availability of guns, it also makes it a hell of a lot easier to kill people in the psychological sense. Stabbing people takes a lot of will power, indiscriminantly spraying people from a distance, not so much.

As to the criminal and home defense aspect that is always brougfght up with gun control, there is a reason there are so few armed home invasions in the like of the UK, because if a criminal wants a gun, he can easily get one, but they don't, because they know that the odds that there are guns in the house they're breaking into is next to none.

Do you have a citation for this partisan rhetoric? Like how do you know all these spree killers are "liberals?" Are you just making it up of are you gonna try and pull out that chain email that claims everyone from McVeigh to Lanza was a registered Democrat?

And the 2nd Amendment is very vague. There's just been over 200 years of politicians, lawyers, activists, and judges discussing it.
