Im currently germinating using the straight to dirt technique, 1.soak seed for an hour 2. Give dirt light misting of water with spray bottle 3. Leave in direct sunlight with cling film over the top to keep it moist/humid. Will this work? And when can I expect to see a sprout? Its an auto? Lowryder #2 if that helps?

sounds correct to me. They usually sprout in 3-5 days but I've had to wait 7-10 days before. Just depends on what mother nature feels like doing.

I've never done it that way....I've done straight to dirt but never soaked seed....and I watered pot fully...didn't just lightly spray soil....the seedling/seed wants and needs moist soil....so for straight to dirt id place a seed half inch deep in pre moistened soil....then spray w water again...in 3-5days u should have sprout

One thing that worked for me is not putting the cling wrap on the cup from what i have heard and read it does make the air more humid but it also makes stagnent air. (Take my advice lightly im only on my first grow) maybe someone else knows a little more about it. Peace happy growing.
