ALMOST THERE, what you think?

Get a scope on that shit now. I don't think there is two weeks left for sure and maybe not even another week at all. Most people on RIU like over ripe buds. Get a scope on them and if there are mostly cloudy trichs with a few still clear and a few amber cut down. The buds will ripen off the plant for a few days after chop. I would rather smoke a bud a few days pre mature than a few days over mature.
i dunno man i definately dont want premature herbs

Some buds look more ready than others. You may want to pick a few at a time as they mature but this might mess up your flush.

Cool with me what you do.

I have grown for over 25 years and know what's up. The trend now is to over do your shit. People seem to love CBN when they want CBD. They tend to over ripen to get a heavy stone out of high THC strains instead of growing high CBD strains.

The hairs are only part of what to look for. Off white hairs will turn a beautiful dark orange to red when dry if not dried fast. The plant will still ripen for a few days after chop.

You need to experiment for yourself over a few crops to learn when to harvest. Don't just listen to people online. Learn for yourself and you will be happy.

So did you pull a leaf and check the trichs?
well ive been tryin alot to check off the nugs and there mostly cloudy like hmmm... id say 70% with about 9%amber and 21% clear heads,
and question, what qualifies amber? as soon as the milky stalks and heads starts to change color, or dark amber heads? thanks

Do a partial harvest now..........take cuttings from the top 1/2, allow the bottom buds to go more time......after curing, figure out which buzz you like better. Rinse and repeat until you're too old to grow. Worked for my Grandpa.............

As soon as the trichs start to change from cloudy to amber, i call that amber. Even after you chop it down, the trichs will mature for another day or 2.
I'd start feeding straight water, and chop it next sunday (not 2 days from now)

Do this. ^^^^^

9% amber is more than enough. You have to give the buds you chop first the proper time to be smokable. If you don't you most likely will equate that to being premature. Taking the time to make the first chop smokable may cause the rest of the buds to over mature while waiting. It just takes a few crops to get things the way you like them.

make a journal, this is what i am going to do for my next grow. like was suggested to do a partial crop and document the days in flower and the trich ratio. and do the same for the next crop and so forth and keep each crop labeled and separate and in time you will find how many days/ trich % you like. i am still as super noob on my 2nd ever grow. but i did this with hot peppers i grow and it helped. if you really docuement on paper each grow you can refine your process and in a few grows will have it on lock and it will become second nature in the future! i will still keep a journal for veg and first day of flower so i have an idea. hope this tidbit will help you in the future.
