Acidic Runoff PH?

Does anyone have experience with soil runoffs being in the low to mid 5's right out of the bag? This just seems too acidic in my opinion. Why would they package soil to have such low ph?
Using Roots organic soil.

Idk, Im having the same issue with some micro nute def. Trying to figure it out now.

I would bet that it's a peat based mix and that's the cause.

Adding some dolomite lime to the mix will fix the pH problems.

I make my own mix, also peat based and the lime is the second ingredient added.
