I just popped golden tiger 2nd and 3rd versions. End up going with the fems because I wanted the pure old killer Malawi Dna in the new f1 version. Also read the golden tiger F3 2nd version fems are slightly faster flowering which is nice.

I haven’t been more excited to grow a strain in years!

She‘s a wonderful strain, but real trippy after 4-5 bowls. I believe I have the 2nd version, 8w veg and 18w flowering. Just need water and a bit of PK during flowering, and you’re good to go. I posted pics of y recent harvest 2 pages back

I'd say about 14 weeks, could be a week or two sooner. Panama is the only one I don't experience in pure form, but have or am doing a few different crosses of Panama. There is always a slight chance that any of them could be 16 weeks flower to finish, but from what I've seen those aren't exceptionally common.

Good to know ahead of time so I can get my expectations in line. Otherwise I'll be hovering over them daily after 9 weeks or so and getting impatient.

My take on these sativas is that they are different than the usual hybrids and I'd be missing the point of growing them if I don't let them have the time they need.

We'll see how my resolve holds out.

It will taste horrible if you harvest a good bit too early, I made a lighting mistake back towards the end of summer, and some were revegging that were about 3/4 finished, and although they had plenty of trichomes, and a decent smell at that point, absolutely horrible smoke.

I think the biggest thing to watch out for making the transition to sativas, would be pH above all. The hybrids hide pH imbalance really well, these sativas will let you know about it and seriously underperform.

I'd also recommend picking up some Honduras x Panama to run as well. This one smells like pump Gasoline before ethanol was added to it, it's the only one I've grown, but the other reports of it are ALL super positive, its probably the highest recommended line they carry from what I've seen.

Good yield, great smell, look, and smoke.

I'm using a really cheap cell phone these days, so excuse the photo quality, but here's a Panama x Malawi. Its in a 3gal, 11-13 light schedule from seed, grew to about 46" from the soil line. i think this is about week 4 of flowering for this one, started to flower week 5 or 6 of growth, I'd guess, I really should take more notes. Some f2s brewing, and the 2 Guawi not pictured got hit with the same male's pollen. One of the two Guawi is showing signs of those peach/incense terps that dubi has spoke about coming from the tikal, so im looking forward to her smoke and progeny most from this grow. Not sure really what to expect from any of them though I haven't tried panama or tikal. i bought these both because i although i really enjoyed Malawi x PCK, i was looking for consistently strong phenos, so i wanted to just get malawi but they were sold out so i bought these, hoping to breed with them and look for extra potent malawi dominant phenos. I'm hoping that using a male with a Malawi father and a female with a Malawi mother will help lock in Malawi traits.

I've read somewhere that the Malawi is quite dominant in crosses.
I've two different Malawi crosses going at the moment and they both look like Malawi lol. Malawi male pollen.
Ive a female Malawi clone at 94 days ~ 13.5 weeks. I let her go 16+ weeks last time.A really tropical sativa pheno.
I aĺso kept a male clone too.

Malawi in middle, Malawi crosses left and right.

Ace Seeds Malawi x Paradise Seeds Sensi Star original - Malstar
Slightly bigger airpot, 22l I think.
Only another 2 to defoliate now.
The 3 seed plants look similar in structure.

I've another 6 x seed plants of the Malstar in veg at the moment for another run of it, to see if there's any variation in them.
These are growing in very cold temperatures at the moment. I'd say ~ 5 or 6°C air temperature. Thank goodness they're on a heatmat. I've grown like this for years and it's no biggie lol
Also i have 8 Malawi x Kingsbanner seedlings on the go too.

Done the fan leaves outside this time.
It's freezing outside so all the neighbours are huddled inside keeping warm and wouldn't smell anything, although I'd to duck into the garage twice as there was a helicopter up nosing about. Bastardos
The back garden itself doesn't get any sun this time of year. The sun only reaches halfway down the garage wall as shown in first pic so it was bloody cold!

In the 4 x 4 tent.
Hlg 550R at ~ 220 watts. ~ 400 ppfd
Another 6 x Malawi crosses. Seed plants, Malawi x Sensi Star original - Malstars
4 in 10l pots, 2 in 7l pots. Homemade soil.
Cool temps in there, I'd say 15 - 16°C they're all partially sitting on a heatmat.
Alternating branches appearing on them so hopefully they'll show sex soon.

Any one ever try their CBD #1? They claim it's stable and will always produce high CBD:THC ratios, curious if anyone has tested this. Just picked up a pack to start once my current grow finishes.

I just received 10 free Bangi Haze fem seeds. Anybody grown this? Any info is appreciated.
Nice smells in flower. Gave a couple started fem plants to 2 friends for backyard grows in Maine and both said the plants went pretty far into October before they had to chop due to weather. Both said plants could have gone longer. Might have been a coincidence, but based on limited feedback, might not be an outdoor girl in northern places.
