A week without watering (soil)

Hi, due to certain circumstances I have to leave my 8 White widow plants for a week without water, they just entered 12/12 flower, they are in 5 gallon buckets promix organic mixed with perlite and peatmoss, they are under two 1500 watt LED lights and a 600 HPS lots of fans, and a carbon filter exhaust. Do you think they will be okay for a week without water, the longest I've left them is about ,5 days....thanks

I'd saturate them and turn some wattage off til you get back.
Maybe raise the lights to take care of stretch.
They'l be sweet

Option 1: Call a trusted friend.
Option 2: Run out quick and grab a timer, bucket and pump, set up timed feeding.
Option 3: Hope for the best.

Going with option 3, you'll likely have very unhappy plants when you get back.

Growers don't have or Need holidays

they are for normal peeps

I removed 4 hours from the middle of the light cycle. 4 on 4 off 4 on.
Can't remember the stage of flower when I did it. Mine were fine but I'm in soil.

Kill the 600 , so plants don't transpire as much ... It will also lighten up the heat issue .
Keep your BLURPLE going.

Somebody just beat me to the punch - water wick system using Cord or Shoe Strings .

I also used water globes ... Which will last a few days.
I went to Vegas for 5 days ... Saturated pots on day leaving ... Inserted water globes .
5 days later - plants fine.

I have read of people watering only weekly in soil grows in 5 gallon buckets....by preference, I usually water twice a week so I hope they don't all die. They are healthy right now around 1.5 feet going into 12/12 before I left them

I only watered this plant twice since it was a seedling.
It was an experiment with two types of soil.
Put in it's permanent 5 gallon plastic pot 4 days after peeking from its starter pot on 10-22-17.
1st watering was 16 days after transplant on 11-7-17.
2nd watering was 11 days later on 11-18-17.
I could have waited a couple of more days before the second watering but felt it was getting stressed and did not want to push it any further as I really like the plant.
Today it is 33" tall. Should be 3 feet tall before it gets its 3rd watering.

Really nice presentation, Buba Blend. Helps me see what is going on. The internodal distance looks bigger than I thought was desirable (I have no idea why). I see the top node stretch is much less. Light type, strain? I shout a big AMEN to the footnote to the pictures regarding us newbies - every one of those "First Time Growers" suggestions will help keep you from shooting yourself in foot!. Wish I had seen this advice 3 grows ago - I would know wtf I am doing by now, lol. Thanks for the help, Buba Blend

Also, re: the topic of the thread - I have the same concerns. My latest grow is under LED instead of CFL and the lower temps must be lowering the thirst as well. I am currently watering a 5 gal and a 2 gal about every 4 days. I could go longer I think as I am learning that it is a weed and evolutionarily (????) prepped for long dry spells. Or will this promote hermies?

Also, for my first grow, I quite looking into continuous watering strategies because I read that cannabis does not do well without the drying cycle that they don't get from bulbs, wicks, etc. I had the newbie "my head is going to explode if I read another GD thing about growing" blues. Are strains from tropical environments might be more suited to extended periods without drying out; but mountain genetics demand the ability to survive dry climates with occasional deluges?

With each grow, I seem to be using less water, less frequently. Less is more in art, I am thinking here too. Thanks all.,

Tree watering ring. You'll probably need to look for different sizes. You can make your own also with one gallon Ziploc bags.

I might elevate it a little bit to have air flow over the soil. That's one solution. I've been working at automation since I started my servitude. I think drip irrigation would be the way to eventually go for me but it'd still have to tweaked for different growing periods.

But that bladder would definitely be a good temporary solution and insurance, however I've never seen those rings in a smaller version
