Also, re: the topic of the thread - I have the same concerns. My latest grow is under LED instead of CFL and the lower temps must be lowering the thirst as well. I am currently watering a 5 gal and a 2 gal about every 4 days. I could go longer I think as I am learning that it is a weed and evolutionarily (????) prepped for long dry spells. Or will this promote hermies?
Also, for my first grow, I quite looking into continuous watering strategies because I read that cannabis does not do well without the drying cycle that they don't get from bulbs, wicks, etc. I had the newbie "my head is going to explode if I read another GD thing about growing" blues. Are strains from tropical environments might be more suited to extended periods without drying out; but mountain genetics demand the ability to survive dry climates with occasional deluges?
With each grow, I seem to be using less water, less frequently. Less is more in art, I am thinking here too. Thanks all.,
