A REAL commitment to change the 25-mile rule

...to each their own. :) it I have never heard shit talk on organic...only hydro...just saying...
I agree mate! Nothing can reproduce what good ol' mother nature can...

A change in the lighting schedule has effect on the end product too!! Most use the basic 12/12... Sativa bring out a different product with 13/11 or 14/10 (more Dark Less Light)

Maybe it is....
But my message was that I want to humble you by introducing you to a serious product and serious growers..
Did you miss the underlying message, maybe you could open your eyes a little and use one of these three growers I speak of? Some of them are here on this forum.. Or are you stuck in your ways, unable to see the room for improvement. Maybe i'm wrong and you have it down pat....

You never know maybe you would like some of their genetics, you seemed to be searching for them previously....

Sorry HB DC you are right, I will make a why Lucius is special thread later on.. JK Lucius just trying to bring some laughter to our argument. I dont need to start a thread to undermine you.
Dude there are guys right here on this forum, at local growers meetings, at local farmers markets that grow some GREAT stuff, I don't need you to introduce me to anything. I know the best growers in the valley and as friends, not because im trying to swindle them or become false prophet to them on an internet forum.

I never said I was a master grower etc, you implied it. I asked another guy if he moved from one medium to another and that struck you as odd for some reason. It's actually not that odd to do that. I just don't.

You should try helping people out here on this forum, maybe showing some of your meds you provide to patients (your pics not random ones from the interwebs this time). :o

Your implication that older guys in this industry can't possibly grow as good as younger guys is not only unfounded and not true but a fools comment and a blatant, ignorant generalization.

that's cool. I go 14on/10off in clone/veg and then flip 10on/14off in flower.
This helps me save some power and also the veg schedule is close to true sunlight, so my plants don't freak out and try to flower if I decide to move a few outside.

what do you think would change due to lighting? flavors, trich production?

I never said older people could not grow, in any shape or form. I was saying age does not mean experience. What you have stated is a very broad and disrespectful statement that is totally out of context. I expect nothing less, nice word twisting though. My argument is that the industry is more heavily saturated with a younger audience.
Selling/false prophesying/swindling??... What are you talking about, who is selling something?
If I cannot grow because of the 25 mile rule, >$45 1/8 of top-shelf sounds pretty good. I thought others might sympathize so I brought it here...

So sorry I encroached on your forum sir...
I do show meds and take/give advice, that is what RIU is for, so your nonsense about that is moot, once again.

Note: "circle of best growers," Arizona self entitlement once again.
A title is not stated, only implied....

A note about the 25 mile rule:
Maricopa Superiors previously suspended the zoning regulations for MMJ. If Im not mistaken, in the end, these people can supersede local municipalities zoning decisions. This could make the operational certificate very tough for some to obtain before the registration expiration, possibly allowing many of use to renew our authorization in a yr.

Separate example:
In Florence AZ, the only applicant has gone up against the cities panel four times and has been denied a use permit. That info was factual and obtained the week applications were do. Something may have changed at this point in time.
Just a thought...

This is pretty much what I do as well. You grow less leaf and more bud when you grow on a diminished lighting schedule is what I learned. The plants also seem to like it better. HOWEVER, powdery midlew thrives in the dark so you really have to make sure you have a good climate controller and de hui goin.

Having a 11/13 lighting schedule brings out different phenos within a strain!! Never heard of mildew issues being more or less of a concern!! Most Good breeders play with the photo periods to bring out certain traits!

Example!
To bring out a certain aroma you may need less light hours and more dark! Where is if you apply a little more light over dark you may get a different aroma! It is simple, another variable that the plant has to deal with in result creates a different outcome because of the different variable! Very simple process but the biotechnology is by far more complicated than what I wrote!

More info on the biotechnology of cannabis - http://forum.hydrobreed.com/showthread.php?227-The-Biotechnology-of-Cannabis-Sativa-**-The-Whole-BOOK!!**&highlight=biotech

The book- http://www.scribd.com/doc/14571756/The-Biotechnology-of-Cannabis-Sativa

I know sativa strains love 11on/13off... Try this one time and compare the difference!! You may be surprised! I was told photo period is a Breeders secret to a fire strain!

Hey but back to the "25 Mile Rule"

What about a patient like me who has had my license suspended because of my medical condition? Regardless of a 5 mile or 25 mile rule, it still makes access to a dispensary extremely difficult for me. And I sure as hell dont want to pay a caregiver to grow for me when I can do it myself. There needs to be some kind of compensation for disabled patients

Dude get a sulfur burner if you are battling Powdery Mildew especially for your size of grows.

I don't have any PM issues. I keep my humidity at 35% typically. I have my dehumidifier draining into a large 55gal res. The PPMS of the water are 19 so it works out perfect. Its awesome water and we use it to water with. Been doing that for awhile and it saves me on RO membranes!

Speaking of ppm's, I recently read that Tucson's tap water is around 450ppm and Phoenix's is 600+ on average... Is that true? Is RO the only way to go in AZ?

I think we have about as much luck getting the 25 mile rule repealed as we did getting the additional qualifying conditions added to the qualifying list.

If you water is over 300PPM I would contact the city!! PHX will come out and test the water for free!!

i live way out in east mesa, on an "island". City of Mesa gets our trash but we have to get our water from Arizona Water Company. i heard when i first moved here that they had some lawsuits/complaints in the past, ppms measure 840 out of the tap vs 40 ppm from the machine at the laundry mat
