A Pro Palin thread

Beyond words? "The Jewish settlements should be allowed to expand." Cut and dry, and I concur.
They are allowed to expand into others property? Do the people of palestine have no rights in your mind? What about a thought from her on she would approach the peace process. That answer is not very thoughtful in my opinion. It was a very simple answer to very complex situation.

Yes. They are allowed to expand their settlements within their borders, which they fought wars to secure, if that is what they, as an autonomous nation, choose to do.

The people of "Palestine" have the right to submit to the demands of their host nation. Or they have the right to wage war against their host nation. They don't have a right to dictate internal policy to their host nation.

What's Obamas plan? Is it a revamping of Clintons plan? Carters plan? Enlighten me.

Walters-"On a scale of one to ten, where would you rate Obama?"

Palin-"A four."

Damn, she's generous, too. Another point for Palin.

I didn't come into this thread to debate obama's policies and I don't know what his plan his. It seems we have to be on the side of the dem or repub party in this thread. I am not a fan of either.

My comment was about the simplistic answer Palin gave about a complex issue and one where she only seems to care about the Israeli people.

I am not sure what you mean about their borders. Thats a big part of what the dispute is about. Who does the land belong to. I am not pro palestine or israel. I am pro get it figured out after all these damn years.

The land dispute has increasingly focused on Israel's occupation of the remaining territories -- the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem. UN Resolutions 242 and 338 stipulate that Israel must withdraw completely from these territories. Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip on 12 September 2005, but continues to build many Jewish settlements in the other territories, actions deemed illegal by virtually all other states. The Oslo Accords (1993) and the Road Map (2003) have failed to reach a land agreement between the parties or to bring Israeli withdrawal. Since 2002, the Israeli government has been building a "security fence" that winds deep into Palestinian territory, claiming the barrier would keep Palestinian suicide bombers from striking Israeli citizens. But this separation wall is a major de facto annexation of Palestinian territories. By building the wall and increasing settlement expansion, Israel retains control over important Palestinian economic areas, agricultural grounds and natural resources like water. The International Court of Justice has ruled that Israel's West Bank barrier violates international law, but the unequal struggle over the land of Palestine continues.

So in order for a position to be valid, it must be complicated? Never simple? Isn't that the status quo, not only in the middle east, but in elitist circles the world over? And what has it secured for the peoples these complex answers are supposed to be benefiting?

The simple answer is usually the right answer. Intelligent people understand this axiom. It is the simple minded people who demand complex answers. Maybe to bolster their dependent egos?

No. Ask me what 2+2 is and I can give you a simple answer. Ask me what my favorite beer is and I can give you a simple answer. But peace anywhere and especially in the middle east is not simple and by trying to make it so makes me question a lot. Again apparently the people of palestine are less in your mind.

Choda, are you seriously so simple, even after the commentator in the video I posted explicitly detailed where the bitch was wrong on every single point, that you STILL can't see it!? That's astounding bro!

You can't tell she's just repeating talking points? She doesn't even answer the goddamn questions correctly. She says what simpletons like yourself want to hear.

Why can't the right point out the retards within the group that's holding the GOP back from actually becoming something actual conservatives could support? I seriously do not get this. If there's some idiot on the left, right, center, the idiot needs to be pointed out. Just because she claims to be conservative and claims to be republican does not mean you have to support everything she says or everything she supports. When will you learn this very important lesson?

after several threads back and forth... I have no idea what you are saying. You have no idea what I am saying. I am sure we both have better things to do.

Palin... whatevah. Let's just keep it in perspective. FEW ppl right now could do a WORSE job than Mr. Obama is doing right now.

So, either way, Palin is a step up.

Greed is a constant.... it doesn't increase or decrease.

The govt. set it up for failure. Not on purpose perhaps, but that's what happens when the govt. tries to go into business. FAIL....we're still failing by the way. heck, Congress wants to revamp Fred & Fannie all over again. Uhhhh, duh.
