so basically i have the temperature able to be controlled threw the a/c unit right now and have the ballast running only on 400W. the sprout is doing great and is really taking to the light very nicely, its only about a foot under light. i still need to get a adjustable thermostat to plug into the outlet to hook up to the a/c so i dont have to have someone keep adjusting it threw the day. hopefully will be getting some clones on thursday. ill take some pics of the room and plant on thursday as well. still need to try different fan arrangements and try to get a duct reducer or something to put over the vent on a/c to pull the most of it to the closet.

got some clones and potted them along with the la con kush seed. one is blueberry and the other is master kush, both from coastal green collective. the blueberry is looking real good and has a nice amount of nodes on it. the master kush is healthy but a little lengthy, it will turn around quick though.

run on 400 or 600 watts light waste of time and money .. look my second gorw .. with 1000 watts light u get lie 4 time more yeild and buds... 1000 watts light only cost 11 cents per hour... .. I bought a 6 inch blower sucking air out 1000 watts light no problem .. and set ac unit 74 and top plants 79 .. it just perfect

im pretty sure that 600w ballasts are the most beneficial as they produce the most lumens for the size and efficiency. i cant run my ballast at 1000w so it doesnt really matter. plus if i wouldve had a 1000w in my closet the temps would be outrageous more than they get already haha. i believe that it could produce more for sure but thats also pulling 400w more. if i can get this handled for a few runs ill look into a bigger light. for now i can only run it on super lumens at the most which will try to pull the most of the agrosun 600w bulb. thanks for the input though!!

glad to see people are still around. started to think i was the only one here.

little update- the blueberry is sagging quite a bit which is bothering. seems like it likes more water but i dont want to over water it. well see how it does as it gets its roots settled. the sprout did well after the transplant which im stoked about cause i beat up the roots pretty bad. the master kush is looking a little better but not much noticeable change yet. im going to run the light on 400w for a couple more weeks and as they get rooted im going to start topping and FIMing them. once they get bushier and taller im going to switch it over to 600w then superlumens. later this week im going to re-arrange the fans so that the Canfan is sucking the cool a/c air either threw the hood or blowing threw it into the closet and will have the shitty booster fan as a weak exhaust. not sure if it will be better, well have to see. also happened to find a seed in some pre 98' bubba that was from clinic so i popped that into a water bottle to crack.

rough start- the sprout has had the same yellowish pale green leaves since it sprouted and now the two big single blade leaves have started to burn and die. it may be due to the high heat that i have had at times or maybe the constant heat of around 79F to 83F which i dont think would be bad. the blueberry clone also decided it would turn herm on all of the new upward top growth, possibly due to the same stress of high heat. the stem has purple in it so it may have been in a nice cool environment and i may have changed it up too much for it to handle. so to fix that i just topped all of that off, haha. the plant has started to grow from the new tops but there turning the pale green as well. its still droopy too so im going to let the soil dry out and see if that helps. the master kush has the most new growth on it but like the two others its turning pale green on the new stuff. i got the pre 98' bubba seed in soil as well and it just popped surface this morning kinda hard to see in picture cause its still caught in seed shell. i still need to get a thermostat for the a/c to better regulate the temp. im letting all the plants dry out til tuesday 420!! and then will give them a small dose of some nutes cause the soil has none. the light leaves may benefit from the nute uptake as well. i might start spraying the leaves with water to help them from the possible heat causing moisture stress. also got some freaken fungus gnats from the stupid little bit of miracle grow i used for the seed sprouts so hopefully the nutes will take care of those guys too like it has before.

Heat isnt your problem, your room isnt that hot, ive grown in 90+. Your plants look like they need to be watered and feed. Thats why they are wilting and turning yellow. They need to be feed, remember once a clone has roots its as mature as the mother.

trust me there plenty watered for now. thanks for turning down my heat idea though cause that makes me happy after all this work and money to get it a tolerable temp. i know that clones are as old as the mothers but my sprout isnt and im trying to water them together. thats why im lettting them dry out and will be getting there first dose of nutes on tues. the sprout started in miracle grow with nutes in it so it shouldve been fine and shouldnt have had been this pale green since it popped surface and it definetely shouldnt be burning if its due to nutes. the moisture stress in uncle bens sticky thread sounds pretty similar to what the sprout is facing but i cant say for sure. more opinions welcome!!

gave them some nutes on monday instead of tuesday and they have all taken on a much healthier look. all of them have had nice growth in the few days and the LA con kush sprout has some better looking green new sets of leaves coming out. the bubba kush sprout is doing great and will be transplanted next week sometime. both the master kush and the blueberry are growing great so i topped them. the blueberry is still growing balls so it will probably get trashed, but it looks freaking amazing compared to the way it was giong. the Master kush is still a little lengthy so i wanted to top the two main stems to bulk up the bottom nodes. might try and get another clone soon to replace the blueberry.

hahah ya!! TC is in the house!! the first few pages were arguement again like my first thread you joined me on so i had to get on some people to get them to knock it off. after that i had to figure out the right fans and set up for the right temp. i finally decided to go with a 6" high output Canfan connected to the hood of reflector exhausting from closet threw the hood out into the main room. then i bought a 5000BTU window a/c unit to use for some intake and it seems to be doing well. right now i only have the light pushing 400w from the dimmable ballast for the plants to get used to the light and environment. with the light on all day and a/c running on low and on 5 out of a possible 9, the temps go from 77F to 83F. so finally i have it to a nice bareable temp for the plants. the girls started out a little rough due to my 0-0-0 soil haha so i gave them a shot of nutes and they have turned around nicely in the last few days. the master kush is the one in the middle with two main branches, i just topped the two main and then tied her down as well. the seedling on the far left is LA confidental kush and has had a rough beginning but with the nutes it has started to grow better. the sprout in the middle pot in its own cup is a pre 98' bubba kush seed and its doing farely well itself and may catch up to the LA con kush soon. the plant on far right is the blueberry which is very healthy and sturdy with lots of nodes but decided it would turn herm on me probably due to the stress from the soil. will probably have to replace it here in a week or so. i also found another seed that was germinated like 3 weeks ago that was only cracked and i thought was dead but popped in some soil for shits and giggles and it popped surface and is looking decent. bad thing is i dont have any clue on what it is, might be a WWxAB or another LA con kush seed haha. well hope that catches you and anyone else up on the grow!! thanks for showing up!!

Hell Ya man, sounds great! I wish I had the selection of genetics you've got man, thats gonna be sick when the time comes! I'm subscribed now, and loking forward to watching how things go for ya. Sounds like you got the temp thing figured out, and they will be loving the nutes. The one with the 2 big branchs looks like it will make a nice bush. you said you topped and tied that bitch, should turn out sweet it looks healthy. I've got another bush in the works hehe.

Would there be a way to hang your UFOs sideways? Seems like they could make some pimp ass side lighting! Really help fill out the sides of the bushs.

Well I'm out, Peace TC

its definetely nice being in contact with a lot of dank genetics. i still have all my previous strains like GDP, Killer Queen, and Grape Ape over at my buddys if i ever want to go back to those. its too bad the blueberry is really unstable and couldnt handle the nute stress with out turning herm. im really looking forward to that master kush and hopefully it will be nice and bushy when i stick it in flower. i bought some new cloning gear so when the time comes ill be taking some clippings of the master kush to make sure i keep it around. ill try and get around to picking up a new strain this week. the LA confidental kush and the Pre 98' bubba kush were both seeds found in some clinic bud so they could be herms for all i know. i was thinking about trying to work those LEDs in there sideways or something but i figured its not worth the time, effort, and extra electricity since im running this a/c unit. might need to use one of them for a veg area to keep some strains.

I like the idea of useing them for veg. Could prolly start clones under them pretty well too. I have all my clones and my "moms" under my home made floro light. It just finally burned out its first bulb the other day. I need to get to the store and get some new ones to stick in.

DAM that floro light you made is still holding strong! that was one of the very first things that i ever saw in your thread like 2 yrs ago haha. did i read right in your thread that your going to be mainly running WW once you move?? that would be sad to lose that beautiful mango you got! hope you can keep that one around.

everything in the garden is looking good and healthy. i put the newest sprout under the HPS today and will see how well it does. the LA con kush is surviving and making a strong come back. ill have some pics to update on thursday. until then hope everyone is doing good!

well i had some extra time this morning so i decided the plants look good enough to throw up some new updated pics. i topped the La con kush on the far left and re tied down the master kush cause the main tops were still taking on a taller height then there lower nodes. the master took very well to the topping and tieing and will be amazing here in a week or so. the blueberry is still full on herm with only balls showing but also did well after its topping. i may stick it outside and see what it does instead of just killing it. never really liked to kill plants... the newest sprout is in there and doing well along with the Pre 98' bubba that has some giant leaves and is mobbin haha. i might need to transplant it soon since the roots are very visible through the cup.

i decided to stick the blueberry outside in a planter box i got and replaced it with the pre 98' bubba kush sprout. i also gave the three biggest ones which are the LA con kush on the far left, the master kush in the middle, and the pre 98' bubba kush sprout on the right, there first dose of the humboldt grow nutes. i hadnt opened the stuff yet and when i did i was amazed with how terrible the stuff smells. extremely more potent and disgusting smelling compared to the fox farm nutes. it also looks like molasses but is more watery and not so gooey. i gave each plant a 1/4 gal of water and they should be good for nutes for a week. ill give them a good fresh watering on monday or something to give them a flush and then will get back on the nutes next thursday. i also read back threw the thread and figured out that the newest sprout is one of the LA con kush seeds i had germinating. so now its 2 LA con kush, a master kush, and a pre 98' bubba kush. the biggest LA con kush was topped and will be tied down like the master once it gets taller. the master kush had some nodes out growing the others so i did some more topping and did a couple FIMs as well.

Those girls look like they are taking nicely to the lights, and the nutes man! Seems like they are really starting to bush out. Nice color in the leaves, and looks like strong growth nice job man. I can't wait to get some more genetics. I am gonna try to save the one mango pheno, it seems like it is turning out really nice this time. I've got a few stems i can trim off the flowering girls to try to clone and save it. We'll see, i gotta cup up some of my ww clones first to make room for the mangos. I'd love to try some of those Kush strains, i grew the afghan last year, but it wasn't a big producer, and it hermied so i didn't try to save the genes.

Ya thats the same light I built when I started my thread. Its had the same bulbs in it since then too!!! Its a really bad ass clone light, and works great for vegging my clones too. It doesn't hardly put off any heat, and the fan i have in there takes care of what it does. Its got 8 25w cfls, so i figure at least 200 watts of light coming off it, even though they say they are equal to 100watts, i like to take things at face value. Well I'm out man latta!

Peace man, TC

:wall:well this was another bump in the road for sure. i tried out the new nutes i got from humbolt county nutes i think and i went a little over board i guess. it has stunted growth for the last few days so not much has changed except for some dieing of leaves and more yellowing of others. some leaf tips are curling and are burnt and others are completely fried like the oldest La con kush. i gave them a good flush of fresh water until run off to help the most i can. once theyre dried out ill give them a small amount of fox farm since they did well after the first dose they got of that. hopefully it will have been enough time to revive from the nute burn and wont be over doing it again. since i just re-potted the pre 98' bubba kush, its roots hadnt spread very far so its not sucking up as much water as the others. over the week it hasnt grown much and is looking a little more yellow/pale then it was. there is new growth coming out but its a small amount each day. the master kush was doing very well before the last bit of nutes and now it looks bad. many yellow leaves and hardly any new growth over the week. all the spots that were topped or fimmed are still practily as they were after i topped them. im sure it will be fine just needs some major recovery time. the oldest La con kush had the most growth out of the biggest three. it also had some of the most death of leaves due to the nute burn. as you can see in pics, a few leaves have been removed and there are two large fans leaves about to fall off. the new growth is the area where it was topped. it recovered nicely from that and has tried its best to keep growing while fighting the nute burn. the new LA con kush sprout did very well over the last few days and was re potted today. i think that the clear cups that it and the others were in may have caused them to have kind of curly leaves. the internodal growth is very impressive though compared to the older one. its staying stocky and trying to grow from the lower nodes already. it may be ready for a small amount of fox farm here in a few days as well. i found a couple seeds in some bud i got locally so i put them in a water bottle to germinate. the bud smelled like snowcap and was sticky and dense like snowcap so it may be a close relative of that. im sure both cracked but the water bottle was poured down the sink and only one was found luckily! i let it sit in a different bottle and it kept sprouting its tap root so it was planted today as well. ive been thinking about waiting until i find the sex of these plants and then taking clones and running a SOG style grow instead of a few big plants. any opinions on that are welcome.

TC- that mango you have is bomb. you better try and keep that around for ever haha! i would love to get a stable strain like that with some nice buds, hopefully some of these kush can try and match yours. it would be nice if i could hook you up with some clones but im pretty sure your alittle out of reach for that. glad to see your light has done so well after all this time and im sure your plants will like some new fresh bulbs in it. thanks for sticking around, i think your the only one haha.
