I been doing hydro for quite a while started in soil a little more knowledgeable now better nutes better lights and better results. Ready to compare yield first hand hydroponics and non hydro.
NUTES: Holland Secret micro gro bloom and cali magic. Hydro nutes that u can use in dirt.
LIGHTING: 1000 watt galaxy gro amp 1100 boosted watts. Hydro farm reflector with glass removed not air cooled.
CLIMATE CONTROL: 1000 btu lg portable ducted into attic. Temps staying at 78 daytime. Not sure at night. 3 fans 2 oscillating and 1 box fan. Air is moving.
Now 24 days into this grow and here is what i have... Oh forgot most important part... Strains
STRAINS: Northern lights X Chronic midweeksong freebie from spanish seeds and midweeksong

Started on the first and the first pix were 22nd and these are just now. I see the buds but not very big if u asked me. I think my hydro setup is going to kill this soil run.

Sub irrigation huh. Dont really see how getting more 02 to the root that way but would having your pot in a dish of some kind and instead of pouring on the top soil just fill the dish up with water? Def interesting.

Everyone including myself are getting hydro results in soil using sips check out hyroot thread and someguys thread they are both former hydro growers sips are so much less work
 
No soil in res with sip there is a divider and a one inch gap. Search earthbox in Google also search octopot many grower on here rocking those

What exactly do u mean hydro results? Per plant ? Per sq meter? Per watt?
 
Soil not as cool or fun as hydro.

if your plant grows big and fast in hydro, it will grow big and fast in a soil filled sip,, everyone useing sips here on RIU are getting hydro yields and hydro speed, not sure how much simple to say it really
 
Here some pix. Not super happy but it is dirt. And ever one to be mixed up i now am for sure on what the 2 strains are. Grapegod and gsc
