Total fail post. A whole hog can go for $1 a pound. The buyer slaughter and cure. 500 or 600 pound hogs. It takes a while for these things to get that big. They will eat just about anything but you have to supplement with feed from the coop. And there is way more labor and investment involved than that I described. $$$$$ and time invested.

So how hard and laborious is it to grow weed again?

$50 an ounce versus $1 a pound?

Would like for this thread to die down. You guys aren't attempting to make any sense. Sure you love the weed drama, but at the end of the day, it's just weed. When it's legality has matured. It's gonna be cheap. Because........

The stuff is easy and cheap to grow!

Seriously dude. Put some thought into it. You can't survive without food. Pig gives you that. It costs $1 a pound wholesale with expenses to raise one. Now please explain why a large commercial grower couldn't produce sweet dank bud cheap! They can!

Man I'm all about free the weed. Just crunching the numbers. Make it legal and margins will be more realistic. $500 a pound? For some reason I have a feeling that's bottom. Let's watch and see what happens in the future.

I'll explain how to raise hogs.. buy 2 I male I female throw them in a pen..feed them give them water. ...When the kids start popping out repeat process..how expensive can that be?

Dude no. You don't want a bunch of inbred crap. You breed within the community. Usually trade out for a piglet or something like that. It's community. Weed is the same. Free the weed and make it available safe and cheap.

Dude you're wrong one time I had a hog at my grandparents farm back when I was young child. ..I fed him everyday he lived a long time he was strong and healthy......it was easy!

Dude this discussion was started on the premise of legal weed and price predictions if it were just legal everywhere. I simply think if you take the risks and challenges associated with it being on the black market. Stuff is cheap and easy to produce good dank. I obviously have been beaten down in the thread because others make it seem harder than it really is. I dunno.

Anyway, I do respect the rollitupers. Thanks for your input.

And back when the medical scene out here was getting big you could expect to pay up to 25 dollars a gram , do you suppose they had compassion in mind at all? Highly unlikely. It's all about the money and to make profit plus meet licensing fee's and then charge a tax of 30+ percent on that , best place to score is on the street and the retail prices are going to fuel that.
