Yea I woulda personally started out with different nutes for my first time..I started with botanicare, used a few others and went back to botanicare in the end..girls are looking good ccc!! Id wait a few more days to feed tho..not too long..when you do they will blow up the first 3 days..you'll be amazed...
well i just went into the room and lifted up the pots and they still don't feel ready for water. i'm gonna hold off on feeding until they're bone dry. i think they'll be nice and hungry by then

oh and also, i took that other booster fan outta my ceiling and attached it to the one in my tent. now i've got double the intake i had before. plus more air circulation from it. things are lookin' good i'm still enjoyin myself over here lol.

Yea I learned the hard way,if ya need an inline fan,buy one rated for a space twice the size of the one you'll be growing in...

You can always hook up a controller amd turn it down, but it ca t move more air than its rated max.

I got two 8in vortex..one goin thru the lights and one pulling air into the room..a 6in pulling out..all end up getting scrubbed by a carbonfilter on intake and a bigblue inline ionizer on the shit end..works great for me..

Btw ccc, what are you using for the smell?..I'm sure you listed it but I'm too lazy to go back and find it..it amazes me when I bring pot home and it totally fucking reeks up my house, but after moving dozens of stank ladies around for a few hours,mu garden doesn't smell..my wife will smell my head sack outside the door, but I cantg smell 40 or more blooming and usually 10 or more drying..

i hope this filter i've got will do as good a job as your odor control. i actually need it to do as good a job..

that fan is strong as hell. even with the two 240cfm booster fans goin full speed i gotta turn it down to like 75%. i figure i'll be able to turn it up more in flowering when i'm cooling the lights with it as well. right now it's just straight up exhausting the room and nothing else.

Where are you exhausting to? I can probably tell ya what will do the job rite but its gotta be exhausted outside to work...I'm sure a can will help, but I allways had a smell with just a can..barely noticable, but I have a schnozz...even at my lsst grow wich I had pumping out a chimney on a 3 story house I still had to run a pro ionizer at the back door(damn sharksbreath stinks.)

i'm exhausting into the attic. someone told me a while ago that if i exhaust hot air into the attic i could potentially have a mold problem in the future? is that true? i need to change something if that's the case..

photo 1 (11).jpgphoto 2 (9).jpgphoto 3 (5).jpg

the pots still feel like they got water in them so i might hold off on feeding till tomorrow. took the 3rd pic to show you the new intake.

also, before i thought one plant (pic #1) was growing slower than the other (pic #2)..but after a closer inspection it seems they just might be different phenotypes? you can see the leaves are quite different. plant #1 is more bushy and has rounder, smaller leaves than plant #2. i think they're growing at the same rate because they have the same amount of leaves.

anyone got any thoughts on this??

Top of the medium looks dried and they look to be a bit droopy, I'd water them.
It looks like you have the more indica pheno which seems like the big yielder one the S1 gros I've seen. The other looks more like a hybrid but could grow to look more like Stella as she matures. I hope she does for you.

so plant #1 is the indica and plant #2 is the hybrid? what do you mean look more like Stella? you say you hope she does so i'm assuming that's a good thing :o

also, per your suggestion, i just watered them with their first dose of nutrients @ 25% strength. excited to see the results. they'll have 11 more hours of light before lights out so maybe i'll see some growth in the morning.

oh and i had a question. one of my pots seems to take much more water before producing runoff than the other. why is this? and how much runoff should i be watering till?

Stella is what I've named the Blue Dream clone I have who I am extremely confident is legit. HSO won't confirm it but it's widely believed that their seed forms of elite clones are S1s of said clones. Stella has a more indica type of growth pattern where she will do the single cola dominant thing but will bush the fuck out when topped and/or trained while remaining a compact plant. Her leaves have a typical sativa appearance, not quite as narrow as a true equatorial sativa but certainly could pass for a northern Mexican sat if the plant structure wasn't completely wrong. She isn't very stretchy for a hybrid, especially one with so many sativa traits. She produces extremely dense, extremely resinous flowers that look more like a heavily indica dominant plant in structure. Very potent, I like the taste and smell a lot. It's very piney with berry and skunky undertones. Like you found a berry patch in the Pine Barrens with a skunk living nearby.
Many describe her buzz as being very sativa dominant. People also say that about plants like AK-47 and Jack Herer, which are all up hybrids IMO, because they've never had a real sativa because they aren't well suited to commercial growing. My wife can split a joint of something like Panama or Kali Mist with me and be awake and enjoying the experience. If she did that with Stella she'd be passed out before we were halfway through the joint.
As far as one taking more water did you really soak the sunshine before using it? Did one pot feel heavier than the other? When peat is all the way dried and then compressed it can be hard to get it fully wet and it doesn't absorb water as well until it has been sufficiently rehydrated. Hopefully the problem should resolve itself if that's the case. It could also be one is just a faster drinker causing the pot to be more dried out.
I like to have about 15-20% runoff.

awesome description. sounds delightful hope i get stella..if i do then i need to make a mother box no doubt.

yeah i soaked the sunshine pretty well before using it. one pot did feel heavier. if the problem resolves itself that would be cool. i too thought one was possibly a faster drinker but that doesn't explain why one pot takes more water to produce runoff than the other. i've only been watering till it drips out the bottom of the pot, so guess i need to water a little bit more next time.

when i get back from work i'll check out the girls and see if they've reacted to the nutes at all. the lights are off right now.

Did the heavier pot produce runoff faster? Heavier means more moisture still in there.
surprisingly no...the lighter one produces runoff faster.

I don't think it's too big a deal. I think what I'm going to do is start measuring the amount of water I put in each pot to keep things even. Maybe after a few measured waters the problem will work itself out. Regardless both plants seem healthy still so I think it will be ok.

Hot air into cold air equals condensation...just saying..keep an eye on your attic...
Ahhh..stella..such a different plant to grow..I can't wait for flowers...
