4 mysterys / 2 auto ak47 first timer.

Topped one of the 2 mysterys that I gave fert to . Have declared them my testers . going to try lst on the other. Ribbon I had planned to use tore off the safety pins, so that'll have to wait till I get to the store.
Ordered some ph test strips 5 packs of 400 for 9$ on amazon & it qualified for 2 day prime shipping. local store had a 500 pack for 15$ looked like same brand so that made that choice easy. Guy i got my seeds off got back from vacation & hooked me a Cuban . so made a stiff Jack and ginger and lit her up that'll be it for tonight :)

Tent arrived. Rachet hooks I had were too small , went and got overly beefy ones .50$ ea at the surplus . ghetto fan setup but it was what I had laying around & seems to move air decently.
Ph strips are late along with the microscope. Only thing I hate about online shopping is the wait & sometimes obnoxious shipping prices.
Got a defiency going on. Based on research I think it's due to my water being above 7ph. So once the ph strips finally get here I can confirm that. And fix it accordingly.
Seen a 4 " inline fan something along the line of 193 cfm, 40$ might be grabbing that next. 2x4x6 tent size so should be fine. Still price hunting though.
Tower fan I did have was a little crammed in the corner due to a wide base. Nor did it really move the air well enough for my liking.

Well package came in this morning ph strips & microscope. Due to my crappy eyes I can't see Jack but the wife can, But for 11$ it's 60-100x field microscope so can't say I feel ripped off.
Got the packages 20 mins before I left for work but a quick test showed my water ranging at 8-9 looked closer to 9. So pretty sure that is the root of my problem.
One lead curled and died 3 more are curling. Only 2/4 are effected. So I'm leaning towards overwatering started the problem & massively high ph made it far worse. But since my soil has dolomite, calcitic limestone, sphagnum peat moss it was my understanding that all acts as a natural ph buffer. So I'm currently left stumped lol. Now for further research cause clearly I overlooked something important.

Yesterday morning woke up to tacoing leaves when it was lights off, kept tent open with a tower fan on plants.
by lights on today they're back to normal and shot up almost an inch over night so guess I need better heat exhaust , little fan I had worked for a few days but doesn't seem sufficient. Although I did close the vent flaps at the bottom to keep more warm air in during lights off. Kept them closed at lights on and it went from 21-22c up to 24c but I dont feel thats very high. No humidity meter though. Just a ghetto outdoor thermometer lol.
Managed to pick up some ph down from hydro store so no more home made vinegar / lemon ph down for me .
Brought water in to culligan to get tested.
Told me my hardness is 21. Then said for more info go to health unit AFTER using the entire 1l bottle to do her test ,So that was a waste of time .
Until I manage to stop spending money on things I still need(fan, ducting, filter, clip fan) I'll worry about ro water and cal mag.
But that's out of budget at the momment , who am I kidding with 2 kids everything's out of budget but I'm lucky I learned to be frugal lol.

Hey Nate glad your still at it. My tap water is always over 400ppm and over 8 ph. All I do is add low dosage ferts, ph down to 7 and call it a day. I don’t worry about RODI water or anything like that. Seems to be working for me. I do mix my own soil though so maybe that’s helping. Here’s how my girls are looking. Popped from soil December 18th 19th and 25th. Also my first attempt at cloning. 77AC9ACA-1ECB-4534-B6D5-9A621E3117BC.jpeg931B4257-2326-4171-A76F-1ED0F7D4F32B.jpeg

I was worried when I gave 2 out of 4 some of the 20-20-20 as a test. Slighest discolouring on a few tips but other than that growing faster than the other 2 lol. But glad I'm not the only one with horrible water had the hardest time finding anyone with a similar problem as far as ppm/ph goes. This city's water is terrible. Average is 18 and I'm at 21 on the hardness scale so that sorta sucks. Still trying to decipher if that tells me anything as far as what's in it lol.
New favourite hobby , work, kids, plants, & indycar ;) lol

Ya we might even be from the same area I’m about an hour from Toronto. I figured if I can grow plants underwater in this liquid concrete I can use it water my plants. Lol same here work, kids, plants, cars.

And as for the hardness scale no it don’t tell you what’s in it. You’d have to take it to a lab or university for that. I know just by my ppm and the buildup I get that it’s crazy hard water.

A few years back I had a complete analysis of my tap water and it was pretty bad. Had high lvls of calcium lime heavy metals and even ammonia and nitrate.

Well spent all night trying to find a fan in my price range that didn't suck, turns out my research was not needed. Went to price check at the hydro store and got a nice discount reg 150 snatched for 130, 5 year over the counter warranty.
Defiantly a few bucks more than I wanted to spend initially, but hard to argue with warranty .
Grabbed some proper nutes. No more 20-20-20 , probably a good thing started seeing minor nute burn on leaf tips (all 4 plants) and a calcium def starting on one.
Only gave ph'd water last time then they showed the signs. Probably due to the fact they've only gotten 2 properly ph'd feedings. At least that's what I'm chalking it to to atm.
Now to get a filter & ducting lol..wonder how long after flip I would have till the stink arises.

And it really sucks cause the one that really smells is my male. He smells amazing so it’s really disappointing.

Good shit bro! I’m surprised you can’t smell them already mine stink a lot already.
Its got a mild smell. But nothing that knocks noses lol. Until your at the bottom of the basement stairs you don't really notice it. 2/4 look like they have possible nuts and other two look like they've got pistils starting but I haven't started flower & i was under the impression that didn't happen until flower lol.

Every plant is different. Been drinking so don’t want to give bad advice.

Went down for lights off & noticed some gnarly colouring on a few leaves, tonights watering day luckily.
Pretty sure it's calcium but going to do a bit of research this afternoon to make sure , cause this will be my first feeding with GH flora series pretty sure I'm going to use the transition to bloom part of the chart as I plan to flip in next few days if I can fix this issue lol.

Every plant is different so far both males I had showed sex before they were a month old, so it’s never a given.

Light as a feather at lights on so gave them their first GH flora feed . feeding chart looks rather agressive so Im giving it a 1/2 strength general purpose feed to start off, and a full dose of cal mag since I believe that's what she's telling me based on pics above. Weak is probably better than to strong.
Mixed as followed. 8L water
Then 5ml micro 5ml gro 5ml bloom , then Ph'D down to low 6's (strips are hard to read) then gave 2l to each. Autos got 2l of reg phd water for now as their finicky & small still.
Temps at 25 with light on and down to as low at 18 with lights off. Decided to get her fully healthy before flip. Fingers crossed before end of the week . forgot to snap a pic at lights off so here's a hps one for now lol.
