Hi all

Does anyone have this setup or anyone with test data, maybe the LED light gurus here?
i have 4 but they each use the LPC-60-1400 driver so its running at ~54w each

I need to reach the PPFD of at least 800-900 currently, for this specific setup how far from the canopy should it be taking into consideration there will be overlap and reflective tent walls? just an estimate. im stressing a wee bit, im in week 6 of flower and i want to maximise the amount of photons in the 2x2.

apologies if this has been bashed before but i am busy searching for answers and cant find any.
Today we tested a CXB3590 at the place i bought my 4th cxb and it only gave me about 600ppfd w/reflector at +/-30cm. i was under the impression it would be more especially with a reflector.

200 watts of cxb is quite high for a 2x2.
I ran 5 cobs at 200 watts in an 80cm x 80cm tent.
No lenses or reflectors and at 8 - 10" 250mm away I got readings of around 1000 par at the top of the canopy.
If you run the cxbs bare you can get them closer to the plants, minimising light loss to the walls

Would you suggest a 3x3 with 4 cxb3590s@1400mA? i do find the 2x2 a bit small to work in. considering using my 2x2 as a veg tent.

You need ~ 30 watts per sq ft so 3 x 3 = 9sq ft.
9 x 30 watts = 270 watts.
You'd need a bit more wattage than 200 watts.
To optimise light in the 3 x 3 either get a couple more cobs or get one big MW driver to run all cobs.
5 x cxbs on a MW 240H 1400A will get you 270 watts for instance. You'd need to rejig your light shape to better fit the 3x3

2.5x2.5 or a 3x2 would work better. The way to figure out correct height: its better to let the plants decide. Start at aroun 16-18" (with reflectors) bring it down an inch every day or 2. Seriously, plants that havent been vegged under heavy leds shite themselves allready under 300 par. Make sure to keep temps up as they wont wont enough to feed theor metabolism in low temps or high rh.

I have a 2x2.5 tent and run a 250 watt 5 cob Cree 3590 setup in it.
Also keep the light turned down for the grow stage and only use the light on full during flower. The "kill" zone is small at 50 watts per.
And keep the driver outside the tent for help keeping the tent a bit cooler. The driver on full...gets a bit hot.
Also run 320 watts/6 Cree 3590's (54 watts each)in a 3x3 tent.
Both tents can "cook" young plants with too much light(I keep them turned down then), but grow dank.
