busy day last two days. after replacing my indoor sw with fresh starts in cut down s.s.. i noticed my 20 gals and qt querkle cut were clawing and starting to head down that same road. so i pulled everything out by the root ball. in the smart pot i pulled out enough to replace with two bags biobizz light and 6 bags roots. the 20 gals got two bags each of biobizz and roots combined with previous soil and re-potted. twice the work is never fun. but at least its early enough to correct mistakes. pics coming.
 
Yo kush!, just outta curiousity, how do you keep your neighbors at bay? Cuz wont those 225's be like 14 feet tall and 20 feet around (slight exaggeration i know) by the end of the season? I mean thats what your going for right? Im impresssed, please keep posting. my hands are already cramping up just thinking about how much trimming you have ahead of you!!! I feel for you diggy!
 
the plan is to keep topping and training them with trellis and such to keep the height down. i plan on building a hoop house to keep the rain off them in early october. if keepin them under 6' is not an option then the hoop house will go up early, for privacy. the peak of the hoop house can be 12-14'. so a green house will be visible over fence line. most of my neighbors know whats up anyways. the smell is ridiculous with 6-7 lbs. so its not exactly stealth lol. as for trimming i only let nice tops grow. no frappy small buds makes trimming way easier. probably will trim by hand myself. i can trim about 3#'S a week. will be trimmin for a while!!
 
here is the mountain of hot from the 20 gals and smart pot that got replaced with a combination of roots and bio bizz light. looks like it didnt shock them too much. took lots of different pics of leaves twisting, cupping, clawing and yellowing. there were some roots that had made their way to the bottom of the 20 gal pots but overall i left the root ball intact. the qt in the smart pot i dug out with a shovel and easily removed the root ball. i figured with the way they were going the problem would only get worse as the roots went into the medium.

do you really benefit from the use of trellis netting this early? i always thought that it wasnt needed until the branches have started to girth out and needed support, normally at like 3-5 feet, a couple months into veg.

i really really really, want a fucking backyard lol

the first layers of trellis aren't for support, forcing the plant to grow through the trellis helps structure the plant into a bush without topping. usually an early internal cage is used then an outer cage followed with multiple trellis layers, for structure and support.
 
ladies are showing signs of improvement since being ripped out and re-potted with cut down mix. color is better: less yellow, leaves are un-clawing or at least not getting any worse and they seem to be growing.
