Hey all, This is my first time growing and I thought I'd make it a good one.
This is my story.

I have researched a lot and asked many friends who have grown.
I have purchased a hydroponic flow system called Emily's Hydroponic System.
This system can hold 6 plants.
I am growing in a small storage space under the stairs. The room i am using is probly 2.5 Wide x 7' Tall. Approx. 2.5 Square feet.
It has an air pump so the plant gets the food/water when it needs it.
I have a 150 Watt Compact Flourescent Light with a fan.

Now it was time to get some clones.

Week 1

21oC - 23oC
40% Humidity
ph 6.0 (plain water, couldnt get my nutrients right)

After I got the clones I came to realize that my hydroponic system is not meant for soil. I had a week to figure this out before I need to transfer them into my system. I am misting also.

In that time I went out and bought 3" Rockwool Cubes as I thought I could transfer the soiled clones to the Rockwool Cubes, then into my system.

Week 2

21oC - 23oC
40 - 50% Humidity
ph 5.8 - 6.5 (got my nutrients workin)

When it was time to transfer, I dusted all the dirt off around the roots ect, soaked the rockwool cubes, then made the size in the rockwool cubes big so the roots wouldnt get damaged. I was told I would not succeed, I want to prove them wrong! I didn't take any pictures the day I transfered but I did 2 days later. 2 days later and they are looking very healthy and strong. I already have a favorite.:hump:

Hey, man,
get some AIR Stones. I looked at Emily's System, very good for Sea fo green, but NOT for major big plants. I strongly urge you to get a small aquarium air pump and a very large or very long air stone. it will make a vry noticable difference.
Peace bro

I think you might should cover up the empty holes. Not sure if it is a good Idea to have the light on the water or nuted water.

I do not grow hydro so I could be wrong.

Shd the light not be a lot closer to the plants as it is only a cfl, or are the plants too young to have it any closer at the moment.

i notice you have a high wattage cfl; it might get hotter than what most people use. take care and be cautious; you don't want to burn you plants...

Are you venting in fresh air and blowing out the hot air?
Or are you just blowing the air around the room?

Hi, I need quick answers please!!!

The planters I have sit in the resuvaur. So the plants feed whenever they want. I have a air pump so it bubbles, so it can feed the plants.

I came to look @ my plants today and they have roots in the water, 1 or 2 leaves were yellow, and most leaves are droopy.
About 5 days ago I was using water and my plants were perfect. ph 5.8 - 6.3
About 3 days ago I changed to nutirents, ph was now 6.0 - 7.0

So today I clipped the yellow leaves, emptied the resuvuar and put new water in it (no nutrients), and put the plants back in the resuvaur.

Can I have the roots just laying in the water?
What is causing my leaves to droop?
How can I fix my plant before it becomes more deadly?

Thanks
