1st time grow how am I doing?

In my experience 40's aren't a problem I've had plants out with a few frosts before the biggest issue this time of year is the dampness in the mornings and them not getting a chance to dry out during the day. Putting a blanket or a little tarp isn't a bad idea but you really don't want anything touching or smothering the ladies. Ideally if they are mobile bring them indoors at night and back out in the day. Keep us posted man!

They are permanently rooted into the earth! I think I will build a tent with stakes and a blanket to keep them warm, without touching them. I have been shaking them out in the am to help keep them from molding as I have read about folar feeding causing issues this late into flowering. I would love to see at the very least another 3-4 weeks of growth before I even consider chopping. I am very patient, and very excited to see what kind of yield I can achieve.

That is a great idea with the tent it will prevent a lot of headaches the closer you get. Being patient is the most difficult part of growing I've seen too many plants cut too early because of impatience. Wait as long as the weather will let you and let her finish and you will be rewarded!

Well, I had to pull the ladies today. There were 2 State Troopers on my road parked in a spot that my plants could be seen by the trained eye if they knew where and what to look for. So I pulled them and got them off my property. Now what do I do with them for drying curing?

Unfortunate that you had to cut early but I understand your reasoning. As far as drying and curing I personally trim and hang for about 3-5 days but it differs you are looking for the outside of the buds to be dry to the touch and you want the stems to bend but not snap. After that some go straight to jars but usually trim up more and go into paper bag for a day and tossing throughout the day. From there you will want to cure in jars. There is a lot of info on the website for this that I would take a look at so you get it right. It's a process of taking the remaining moisture out of the center of the buds but you have to take the buds out of the jar (burping) completely for several hours every day. The amount of time varies but you want to get to a point where the jar is keeping them fresh but not too fresh. Haha I'm high sorry for rambling but do some research on the site as well. Keep us updated!

Awesome! I hung them roots and all overnight. When you say trim, I assume you mean just cut the branches with buds away from the main trunk, and cutting larger fan leaves?

Yes it's all about preference I usually keep any small leaves with crystals on them. Would like to see some pics when they are dried!

Will do! depending on how it smokes once it's driving cured I may just make butter out of it. Lol not sure though. I'm concerned about whether or not the tracks that are there armature yet from things that I have read. 3 weeks to early seems to be a bad thing.

Sorry to hear you had to uproot early.i think you made the right call, it's ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry when it comes to this game. If i were in your shoes i would start scouting locations for the next season and figuring out what strains you wanna run. Oh and about the temps issue, I've had a female seeds white widow withstand 30's without any noticeable damage. once the temp dropped into the 20's I had to start plucking off damaged fan leaves.

Well, after hanging for 4 1/2 days with fans, I snipped 1 of 4 plants and got 13.1 g. I let those buds dry over night on a drying rack, then trimmed up a bit and this is what the first 3.5g looks like. Yield sucks, probably around an oz off 4 plants, but the way she feels is amazing! Since she was all for me and close framily, we are all more than pleased with the quality in buzz it packs. Very hard hitting and strong! Smokes very smooth, but really nothing in taste yet as their still a bit wet. I just wanted to sample some and kind of dry, cure and trim each plant a little different to see what I liked/didnt like. Its all about perfecting the strain, right?

After a lot of looking at different strains, I think I may have a master kush strain. Anyone familiar with it and can let me know if that is it or not?[/QUOTE
U said they were bag seeds so its not a Master kush. It's more likely be a Mexican ass crack booty strain. What's it smell like?
