In my experience 40's aren't a problem I've had plants out with a few frosts before the biggest issue this time of year is the dampness in the mornings and them not getting a chance to dry out during the day. Putting a blanket or a little tarp isn't a bad idea but you really don't want anything touching or smothering the ladies. Ideally if they are mobile bring them indoors at night and back out in the day. Keep us posted man!
They are permanently rooted into the earth! I think I will build a tent with stakes and a blanket to keep them warm, without touching them. I have been shaking them out in the am to help keep them from molding as I have read about folar feeding causing issues this late into flowering. I would love to see at the very least another 3-4 weeks of growth before I even consider chopping. I am very patient, and very excited to see what kind of yield I can achieve.
