Yeah there is lots of ways to save money if you are on a budget. Homemade reflector and CFL bulbs are 2 good suggestions. But don't be cheap when it comes to lighting or your results will never be worth it.

Yeah that will work fine, lots of people use them. Just remember CFLs contain mercury, don't break them if you do pick up the pieces carefully. You don't want to become autistic :)

No, not even close.
In fact I just read that whether you have one 40w cfl, or fifteen 40w cfl's, the actual intensity will still be no higher than 40w. Makes sense when you think about. You are just simply adding more bulbs at 40w, yet the intensity of the light is still 40w.
Better off with at least a 250 cfl
My 125w CFLs are made up of 5 25w tubes. Are you saying they're only as strong as 1 25w tube?

No you still have 125w of light and lumens, but the actual "strength" of the light is only as powerful as the brightest bulb.
Sounds weird but it makes sense.
Someone said it in another thread. Hellraizer maybe? I forget.

My grandma came in town and she is staying at my place, she's not too fond of cannabis and would be quite upset if she saw them. I moved them inside my attic door and i have a 38w florescent light and a 18w florescent light in there until i can get the 200w clf. Will that be enough to keep them alive or possibly grow them a little?
