ya but use very very little amount. maybe 10 lime balls per gallon of soil tops. then drown it and check yer ph. It may spike to high. Made my soils ph go very high so I got soil with a low ph before adding to much of it.

Can anyone confirm that this stuff is as potent, talking about the lime here.. the lime is as potent as I'm thinking, After mixing more peat, it is seemingly having no effect on reducing the acidity that is surprisingly ahh funk it. I quit

It musta been the lime. I just added more of peat and some other acidic soil. and so far it seems more stable. had to of been the lime. was just weird it was ph'ing at about 6 and I liked that but then after waiting an hour and doing another ph it was at 8. sorted though. thanks

right, I was flushing with distilled water that had a ph of 6.

well, the ph is at about 5.8 when I put the freshly mixed soil into container, this is the ph of the first runoff. I drain it then water it again, and the next morning I check the ph and it's near 8. I did put some lime in it, is it the lime dissolving that is causing ph spike? I'll keep...
