IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

Thanks Scotch, I have a 9x3 flower footprint where I'm planning on hanging the new xgs'. I don't need any convincing that they are great lights. I am planning on scrogging which I think is ideal for LEDs. I am actually worried that these lights won't generate enough heat. (volume of grow...

IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

I have a 6x2 foot print for my veg. space. I'm thinking I need three panels - each covering a 2x2 square. Does anyone have recommendations for a good veg only panel for this sized space?

    help designing an LED flip-flop...

I'm about to buy the new Apache Tech AT600. For those that don't know it should before at least as well as a 1000w HPS. It also costs over 2k. I've run HPS flip-flops before to stabilize temps and keep electrician costs down. I would like to do a flip-flop with this LED which would double my...

Optimal design for a large scale medicinal grow?

This depends on whether you are going to be breeding. Not trying to be insulting but I hope you are partnered with an experienced grower. If plant count is not an issue then I would also get more room than you need - allowing for expansion.

    Light space for Sativa SoG?

You want to give the sativas as much light intensity as possible to reduce stretching. 36" is too far IMO - they just won't be getting enough quality light.

quick question for the vert pros...

Is anyone doing much better than 1g/watt with this methodology. I'm a horizontal scrog grower and I average 1g/watt these days. I'm always looking to increase efficiency. Also - I scrog one plant out to about 4.5 x 4.5 under 1000 watts. Are there guys getting that much surface area out of...

Well another 1000W HPS make the difference.

Since you already have a 1k I'd get another and a light mover. I will help spread the light around evenly and prevent hot spots. You could put 4 plants in there and pull a minimum of 500g/plant assuming no disasters. What medium do you grow in?

$1500 budget first time grow setup

I definitely think getting the new light from Area 51 is a smart choice. Its one of the best lights on the market. A lot of people get disappoint with LEDs because they buy crap not because LEDs don't work. Also - it can be run in a 130 watt (veg) and 190 watt mode. Lighting will always be...

$1500 budget first time grow setup

For every new grower I recommend 1 plant, 1 light and a soilless mix. Start with the basics - learn a ton. Save your money for when you understand the basics and are ready to expand. You will learn about light cycles, plant growth, nutrients, humidity, heat and cooling etc.

I am trying to Veg and flower in same room

Light leaks are going to mess with your plants and will seriously effect flowering. You can build a tent out of panda film, duct tape and PVC pipe without any "skills". The easiest solution for a perpetual harvest would be one light and auto flowering seeds.

thank free - I know its "fresh" - I was just giving too much detail. I don't pull in any air while the C02 is running and the lights are on. What I'm really asking is theoretically given a perfectly sealed room, no fresh air and C02 enrichment - will this be detrimental to the plants?

    settle a bet...

Me and another grower had a difference of opinion that I would like the consensus on. In a sealed room do you need to pull in fresh air if you are using C02? I have been running a sealed room where I only vent fresh air when the lights are off to keep RH down. When the lights are on I keep...
