I am on my third grow in my basement and my setup has evolved close to where it needs to be. I have a 2'x'3'x5' grow tent with a 240cfm blowing air in at the bottom and a heat cooled hood for my 600w ipower MH/HPS lit kit. I am currently using the same 240cfm fan for outake air through the fixter which runs through 20' of air hose to a carbon filter across the basement. I am thinking of getting a higher cfm inline fane for the outake because the temps still run a little hot during veg (MH bulb) causing me to turn the output down on the ballast. I built a scrog for this grow and positioned it about 6 - 8 inches from the soil surface of the pots (Liberty Haze from Barneys in 3 gal containers). I also bought 2 cheap 6" clip on fans that clip to the frame of the tent on the inside to circulate air. For Nutes I picked the Fox Farm Line. Schedule here:

Once they sprouted and I got them in the pots under the light, I was very nervous starting the schedule with the first week labeled "Seedling and cuttlings". So I just kept them watered for a week or two. Close the the end of the 2nd week they yellowed up on me and started shriveling. One worse than the other. So I bit the bullet and started this "Pre-week 1" week on actual week 3. They took off immediately. Once I got to week 4 They were reaching the scrog pretty good but not much bending yet. So I decided to flush as the schedule indicated and then repeat week 4 until they filled up the scrog nicely. That took 2 more weeks After which I moved into flowering and schedule week 5. Keep in mind my water feeding schedule is as follows: water, skip a day, feed, skip a day, water...and so on. Once I got to end of week 6 going into 7 I decided to extend the wait after feeding and skip two days before watering. By the end of week 7 I had a small burn moving in. But as you can see I went an extra week (4 instead of 3) before flushing. So Flushed them good and once I started feeding again i completely skipped week 8 and moved on to 9. I also went back to the old feeding habits of water skip a day feed skip a day water. I am now in week 10 on this schedule and fed them for the first time this week last night. I am thinking I am skipping week 11 and 12 gonna pick after next weeks flush. I lolliped a small bud from the bottom of a mid teir last night before feeding so I can get it upstairs and take a closer look at with my 420 scope. Still not good enough with it to get a clear image while on the plant. I saw TONS of tri's about 50/50 clear to milky. After looking I threw the sample in the oven for 40 min or so at 200f, grinded it up and put spark to it. MY GOD. Not even ready and it got my wife, my bro in law, and myself BLITZED! Here are a few pics.

My Bro-in-law is about to invest into my hobbie and wants to get me an LED light to help with electric cost. I was thinking of getting a second setup going so I can take clones from my next one. Anyone know of a good LED for $200 -$300 range that has high enough output for 2 plants or so?

How many square feet are you hoping to cover with the LED? There are few well-constructed units in this price range. Try looking at the Hans panel. http://www.bonsaihero.com/ledgrow.html

I was looking to get another tent about the same size as the one I have 2'deepx3'widex5'tall. I wanted to have one setup for flower and another to start clones in. Not looking to get another HID set because it will cause hell on my light bill
