I use FFOF and have no problems. Just read your plants... It's a lot easier than it seems, lots of answers across the web for any questions you may have.

You can use miracle grow. It's just not recommended. The soil is too hot. Just flush the shit out of it. And don't use nutes till they need it. You will most def get nute burn using that soil.

I would cut the ones in the first few pics in a week or so. The last few pics in probably 2 weeks minimum, but 3-4 weeks is better! Looks great!

More lights is always good. Aim some cfls at the under side. Those tiny buds need light too.. Add Mylar around the grow area if you haven't yet. I forgot if you did or not.

Without pics, I'll guess it's just the plant pulling nutrients from the bottom leaves. It's natural.
